Praluent Job - truth please

Im finding myself having to get back in the industry as my husband unexpected died this past March and I have a baby and small child to take care of. I’ve made a bad career move years ago taking a pharma job that was terrible and I was lied to. I hear the relaunch will be great...but for some reason I’m nervous about that. How isn’t Praluent perceived by the doctors? Does the company have good benefits? Health insurance? Company car? I would really sincerely appreciate honest feedback and as I can’t afford to make a mistake this time. Thank you sincerely

Good benefits- sign on bonus, stock options. Good salary. Praluent is great- managed care blocking it. Outcomes data good. Just waiting for it to be published and label updates.

can’t say I agree with any of this, except for salary. Benefits are average to industry, vacation time is below average, stock options are worthless, and 401k is horrendous. I think it really depends where you came from. If you were at big Pharma you may like it since that’s where all management is from. If you came from more of biotech co you will probably not like it here.

truth is somewhere in the middle, a solid company with good record at getting drugs approved. Praluent is tough to sell and area of country matters for coverage, pay and bonus are fine, health insurance is good and yes you get car, 401k and stock not so good, they match 401 with stock and stock has gone down 200 bucks so our 401k have been crushed and stock for us is worthless and not likely to get above water anytime soon

Don't do it. Poorly managed company. Micromanagment is now here. Lack of resources to do the job with Praluent, such as no samples, cut in lunch and learn budget, outmanned by the competition, loss of coverage, etc. And lets not even get into the nightmare of doing expense reports these days. The place sucks.

So is everyone okay with this 130+% increase goal for the 3rd quarter? Seems like nobody really is fucking complaining or voicing their opinion. Maybe it doesn't matter anyway.

Ridiculous goals......Let’s see, they lost about about 60 percent of their sales force last year.
Many of the new hires will start realizing what a shit show this place really is and start leaving within the next year.

I don't understand how they could possibly set goals which are so unrealistic. We lose CVS and only expect a 60% conversion at ESI? Just seems like management, like politicians, are out of touch with our world. Feeling pretty lousy about this. No way will I make my numbers this quarter

what! How unfair you are all in sales and they expect you to grow and sell! How ridiculous. Stop getting beat so bad by competitors and making excuses and blaming others just sell for a change!

agree with poster number two. Love the company. Love the culture. Hard to get promoted within, but that does not seem like your concern at this time. Benefits are ok. Excellent dental. Medical is standard. 401k is not great, but that’s mostly because if current stock price. Very nice cars with upgrades. Management has been fantastic. Managed care issues are very troubling. Regeneron leaving all contracting to Sanofi, and that is a grave error. PRALUENT is fantastic! VERY diffucult company to get hired into. Stock options have been granted, and continue to be granted. Don’t count on them as most of them have been worthless, again, due to stock price.

so what is stopping you from leaving? Aren’t you looking forward to another meeting in Orlando, with no new information, more DISC, no new PI, no new publication? I. E a waste of 5 days away from home with nothing to,show for it? At least it’s 5 days out of the field.
