Why do all you lefties continue to have trouble distinguishing between poorly run companies (Merck now falls into that category) and out of control destructive bureaucracies (our present government as it stands). Are you really that naïve to think that people who have been successful in the private sector cant wait to become your cartoon caricature of a capitalist, and line their pockets with plundered gold like Scrooge Mc Duck. I would submit to you that the real destruction is wielded by the hoard of socialists that never ran a business and couldn't understand a balance sheet to save their lives (there're all millionaires by the way, maybe you can explain that?). Yet somehow they all know what's best for us, which is (always) higher taxes and more regulations. Oh, and your brilliant Mitt comments, which you no doubt are parroting from MSNBC, fails to take into account that the companies that his firm sliced and diced were all failing entities and were not going to survive. But I guess from your leftist perspective, in a free market world its not fair that some companies survive and some don't. When we teach our kids today that keeping score only hurts the feelings of the "losing team" it should come as no surprise that economic ignorance and a distorted view of capitalism is rampant in this country
