PMT Corporation

I used to work for PMT 3 years ago. I’m shocked by the responses on here. With any job, those who can commit and put in the time (w/true outside sales) will succeed.
It’s a tough sale – those who cannot keep up their sales will be kicked out. The successful sales representatives are still with the company. I believe there are some that have been there for +10 years. Don’t listen to all of these comments. I cannot believe a company would actually hire some of the individuals who post these comments.

I'm with you on this statement. Unbelievable. It's the dishonest and lazy salesreps who 'pretended' to work and turned it fake daily reports and expenses who are writing these statements. Unbelievable. Ha! Generally I wouldn't waste my time on responding, but this is so outrageous I had to. For those who are looking at a job at PMT - actually talk to a current rep. Do your research. Reach out on linkedin.com. Don't read this crap. You will find a different story. Good luck!

For anyone smart enough to read the comments posted here before accepting a role realize that the positive statements are from the owner or a manager in order to fool you into interviewing so they can fill a territory. any of the negative statements are from reps that have worked hard or gotten to the point where they are taken advantage of that they decide to move on. i can tell you straight up that the owner looks at you and everyone else at that company as worthless. once you quit, whether or not you succeded there he will ridicule you in front of peers if possible and talk bad about your character until he forgets who you are. don't help this owner make another dime by offering up your hard work.

what goes around comes around, PMT.

I recently applied for a purchasing assistant position, it sounds like all the bad talk is within the sales portion of pmt, anyone have any input on the purchasing side who would also manage over a janitor and clean room operations..?

PMT is a bad company.... They wont pay any money they promise like said before!!! All the negative feedback is true, They pay the temps more money than the people who have been there for more than 5+ years! They will push you to your limits till you break! The turn over rate is HORRIBLE!!!! They can't keep a HR for more than 1 month. Followed by every other position

DON'T GO TO PMT!!!

Not only Agree, but you can add that this company is the most unethical out of touch with reality with a business should be run. It’s similar to a company straight out of the 60’s or 70's. There is One female sales rep in the entire sales force, not a single employee of race and he continually preaches about Obama’s healthcare plan to his reps. They have one computer room in their home office that has wi-fi. Your 30k base is not really 30k it's more 20, you'll see why if you ever take the position. Red tries to bully you out the door with no supporting data on why? Just his gut feeling off an Activity Report that is a excel spreadsheet. Furthermore, you will pay numerous amounts of surcharge fees on your Credit Card because they take 21 days from when they receive your expense report. Oh and lastly you know that it is not a good sign when your “quote on quote” training you have everybody in the home office saying get in for a short time and get out as soon as possible. If that is what you’re looking for to quote on quote call yourself a medical device sales rep than have at it. The one con is that if you don’t mind being broke for a while and you do descent in your interview you can twist your experience to hopefully have them give you a chance and hopefully jump to greener pastures!

Agree with the above statements. I'm currently employed with PMT and it's really not that bad. These comments are crazy! Yes..it's a grind, but what job isn't???

One of the worst companies I've ever worked for. No sense of elaborating since it's all been laid out by previous posters. All the negative feedback is true....enough said. I worked on the plastic side. The sales manager Ken is a total joke. The guy isn't even qualified to work at McDonalds. LOL. Here's my advice. STAY AWAY FROM PMT.

There is probably not a single sales rep in the company that had come from any prior medical sales experience, and that includes management. If you do decide to go to work for PMT get your experience and get out!

I have an interview with PMT on Friday for their Plastics division. I am coming from three years of successful inside sales at a specialty pharma company and have no field or device experience. I am looking to break into the industry and PMT seems to be the only company that is willing to give me a chance. I know that there are a ton of negative things to say about the company, but does anyone have anything positive to say?

I am willing to deal with lower pay in exchange for industry experience, but I don't want to get in there and decide that I made a bad decision. Any help would be appreciated.

Tons of job openings posted on careerbuilder throughout the Country. Do they really have that much turnover? I keep seeing the same territories posted over and over again.

They keep posting those jobs because they can't get anyone worth a crap to take the position. Don't do it. $65 per night for hotels and they expect you to be on the road 3 nights a week at least. Try to find a hotel in a big city without roaches for $65.
Also all the good remarks written about this company are posted by the managers trying to fill those positions.

I can only really laugh when I see some of these posts. If you're on here talking about how horrible your experience at PMT was, I'd guess you probably have never achieved success in any sales capacity and were perennially at the bottom of the sales rankings each month.
For those of you looking to break into to medical device world, there is no better place to break in than PMT and rarely will you get the opportunity to get operating room experience in one of your first medical sales job. I may be biased because I worked for PMT for several great years, but nothing was handed to me and I earned everything. I won awards, I was promoted on numerous occasions, got management experience, and at the time, was able to make more money than I ever had. I was able to develop relationships within my territory, leverage those experiences, and made myself attractive in earning an opportunity with a top 10 worldwide medical device company. Now I have the opportunity to double my income in my new position.
The key is the "opportunity" to make more money. If I don't sell, I don't grow my territory, I don't make a dime over my base in my new position. This is what medical sales is all about. It's challenging and competitive, but rewarding. Look, I don't ever post things like this. And I'm not saying everything at PMT is perfect because it's not, and no company is. But if you do your job and act as a good employee, you'll be treated well. My point is this is a sales job. It's not easy. No matter what industry you're in, nothing is going to be handed to you. You have to earn it. But if you are motivated, want to work hard, and want to have a career in medical sales then there is no better opportunity to get your start than PMT. I just had to chime in because these earlier posts just don't get it, and obviously don't have a clue about medical sales. I wouldn't be where I'm at now, and have established a career in the medical sales industry had I not gotten my start with PMT.

Thank you for this response I have an interview tomorrow and want to branch into medical sales and feel this is a good opportunity. I work hard and take my jobs seriously when you are competitive naturally that is what shows and stands out above the rest! Thank you for the positive response!!

If your total research for a job is on Cafepharma, then I would not suggest interviewing for any job. Take a look at almost every company on this website. Let me know if you find a company with all positive feedback. Anybody can hide behind anonymous and throw grenades. This job is what you put into it. If you want to work from home, do minimal work, and get rich, GOOD LUCK. If you want to take the word of the people on here rather than talking to PMT, stay at your current job. Why don't you posters give us the link to your Facebook account so everyone can anonymously post things about you. Not as enticing now is it. Remember that just because you have an opinion, doesn't mean you have to share it.
