PMT Corporation

I would not take a job with PMT unless you are really in need. When I was with them the salary was $20,000/year and there wasn't much commission. After my 3rd manager quit within the 1st six months I knew this was not good. I then got word from one of my managers that he had to get a lawyer to get the $5,600 that was owed to him. All this money was expenses since he traveled alot and far. I managed to get an offer with a company $47,000/year plus commission and a car. If you find yourself with them and you decide to leave, make sure they owe you nothing. I just stopped working and traveling. Just line something up and get the hell out. I could go on about how PMT treated the doctors that tried to use their products but what's the use, Good Luck.

I used to work for PMT 3 years ago. I’m shocked by the responses on here. With any job, those who can commit and put in the time (w/true outside sales) will succeed.
It’s a tough sale – those who cannot keep up their sales will be kicked out. The successful sales representatives are still with the company. I believe there are some that have been there for +10 years. Don’t listen to all of these comments. I cannot believe a company would actually hire some of the individuals who post these comments.

Agreement. These comments are over the top and flat out ridiculous. Poor taste boys. No wonder you didn't succeed in med-sales job.

I haven't worked in medical device sales and am hoping to break in...so I was very excited to get a call from pmt to schedule a phone interview. After reading these posts, I cancelled my interview. Thank you for the info., it saved me from making a bad career decision.

You miserable losers. Its like any sales jobs, the bottom feeders stay at the bottom and post comments on CafePharma why they didn't work hard enough and some other rep kicked there ass in their territory.

Please tell me why you couldn’t win in your life and I bet it goes back to high school when some guy smacked you in the face with a basketball during PE and you went and told the teacher.

Come in my territory 47000 a year guy and you will see what it takes to make it in medical sales if you haven’t quit that job already. Stick to the choir cause you can sing your sad song to CafePharma while I smack some heads around in my territory and send choir boys like you back home to mommy.

PMT is a great career choice if your looking to break in. Some reps are still there and some have moved on. Without PMT I wouldn’t be where I am today. Regardless it’s a hard sale and if your looking for the easy way out don’t come to the medical world. But PLEASE do not listen to any of the choir boys.

No longer with PMT was there for 3 years which landed me my current job. PMT broke me into the industry like it said . my territory was in the NE . Started out in territory at 100k but grew to over 400k . grew about 100% every year. AL , Eric good people if your winning, but if you stink like these rejects they freeze you off like a wart just like any company.

as a PMT rep you will be the underdog in your territory but you got to crawl before you can walk. most reps in smaller companies never walk (see past posts ) , but the ones who walk seek rewards of being a winner.

Good luck

I worked for PMT a year... year 1/2 ago. LOL.... this is the worst company I've ever been a part of. Yes, PMT will break you into the industry and some of the products are solid. As the last poster said, you are in fact the underdog when you come in, and I really enjoyed that. It pushes you to become better. Unfortunately, a lot of the negative is true.

Red (Owner) is a fucking crook. Seriously, the guy is a white collar criminal at its finest. He will try and fuck you in so many ways with expenses, commissions, exc. After I resigned, PMT tried dicking me around with the money owed to me. I kept calling and calling. They kept coming up with excuse after excuse. Finally, I spoke to Red and lol... I ask him if my check has been sent. He tells me he will call the police on me if I call again. LOL. What the fuck is that? I just want the money owed to me. I had no idea that was illegal! After sending a letter from an attorney to their office, I finally got all my money.

Maybe PMT has been good to a few people hence some of the comments left by some of the posters here. But as you can see, PMT has straight up fucked the majority of people posting on here. This company is total garbage. DO NOT TAKE A JOB WITH THEM.

PMT as an orginization can be a struggle, that being said, I am a current rep with PMT and my expeince has been one of serious ups and downs. At the end of the day, things are going about how I expected. I am putting in my time and will soon have the opportunity to move on and take what I have learned with me. Like anything else in life, give it your best and keep your head up. The med device industry can be difficult but rewarding regardless of who you work for.

I am considering an international sales position for Asia for PMT. Can anyone comment on their international sales division? Are the comments true for this division of their organization?

Agreement. These comments are over the top and flat out ridiculous. Poor taste boys. No wonder you didn't succeed in med-sales job.

Is this Eric Caille or Al??? No one in their right mind would post a positive comment about PMT. I worked there for almost 2 years, increased business each year, and worked my ass off, while still making jack shit. I did enjoy staying in Red Roof Inn's 8 times a month and eating taco bell for lunch and dinner. You are a fool.
