PIP????







Just curious if you were put on pip after getting a cm or ms for the year? That's fud up if you got a cm. it used to be that you had to get ms for 2 years in a row. You should also let us know what part of country you are from.
 
























There is no consistency. If you don't qualify for a pip just wait until your ZD goes to corporate for a week to sell their case, their lies and get HR's blessing to come after you on totally inaccurate stories. There is no policy except whatever they need to get rid of you. Good luck!
 












I just got put on a PIP. I wasn't given a reason other than past appraisals. Even though my appraisal was given to me in May. I have made my quota 3 straight quarters and all the sudden I'm in danger of being fired. Is this place for real????

The information that you have given makes no sense. You need to set up a meeting with your RD and get an explanation. Shire needs to show documentation as to why you would be on PIP.

Best thing to do is document as much as possible Market share growth from last year, what you have been doing to show improvement, show an increase in call average, call your RD at least once a week to show interest.

If you want to stay, there are plenty of ways to show you are working and trying even if the numbers aren't always steller.

Oh, and keep a very positive attitude.

So you were ranked in the 400s basically for 2 years.. You are lucky you don't work in tottys zone you would have been gone long ago.. Count your extra year as a blessing!

No doubt. Ppl in the south zone were pressured for years to be in the top 50% of the company or they were in danger. Don't think so? It was all over mid year, annual reviews and field coaching guides plain to see. But did HR care? Nope. If they want you gone your gone its that simple. HR doesn't care about you. Leave HR out of it.

So why exactly would HR want us gone? They aren't involved or affected by sales reps. A PIP gets started by the RD's. I think it's just a way for RD's to try and show that they are making changes. That way the ZD's stay off their backs.

Nobody said HR wants us gone RD. only that they do not care so going to hr will not help.. Stop twisting words
 






Being that there isn't a corporate policy on the PIP, I would like to know how any rep that has made there quota during the most recent quarter, could be put on one. Isn't that what we are supposed to do?????
 






Do you have any idea what you are evaluated on? Numbers are a small piece of the equation. Rep competencies are the measuring stick. Bad employees can make their numbers for three quarters out of three years. Grow up and take an active role on your team, take an active role in your development, and evolve. Look for solutions instead of excuses and you will do fine. You have a career, stop treating it like a job. I know many will not like this and that is ok. This probably isn't the right environment for you tho. I'm sure this answer will be ripped apart because it is not sympathetic to the cause all of you whiners want to hear but it is the truth!
