Phathom

Those placed on PIPs are Phathom sales representatives. This person is a rep. It would actually be helpful if the “leadership” team was on here, because then they might have a clue!

Feel free to print out all these chats and share with Terrie Curran & Co!
If I ran a Pharma sales company that was in this much hot water, I would be reading on Cafe Pharma to troubleshoot vs sending bogus survey results that 98% say Phathom is a top place to work.

At this rate no one will show up for the National Sales Meeting!! Someone needs to do something.

Phathom is directly evading the WARN ACT (layoff of 35 % of employees) by enacting PIPs for 30% of the sales force.

Phathom is unethical at minimum. Someone has to get class action going.

Does Terrie Curran and Co have a website? lol. I bet she does some consulting on the side on how to do verbiage to keep your patent life extended as well as how to keep your stock high! She is a genius!!! Lol
Terrie Curran and Co. need to sit down and have a nice long read on Cafe Pharma. Investors need to be bringing this information up on 4th Quarter Investor Call. Someone should tip off HR to take a gander.

Without a sales force this product is NOTHING

This management team ruined the launch of Voquezna. It’s an amazing drug.

We needed:
- real time prescriber DATA
- early new writer DATA
- pull thru data from Blink Rx and outside pharmacies (rx’s denied, in waiting, rejected)
- we need % fill rates for Blink vs outside pharmacies
- we need lunch budgets to see providers not excessive dinner meeting spend when providers don’t attend
- stop the PIPS or Coachability is a farce
- seek feedback on segments & adjust
- fix the bonus structure bc there is no incentive to stay here
- data RX reporting review of what RX’s we are missing. (Need multiple reporting agency contracts)

If you’re going to withhold the keys to the castle, and give us no real time data- then this is the poor result you get.

Upper management created this disaster. Putting reps on PIPS will do NOTHING as the issue is beyond the sales rep scope !

Phathom has paid nice severance packages to some that have spoken up to HR. Just FYI.
Speak up.

Whether it’s a poor work environment, no history of documented poor performance prior to your PIP, immeasurable PIP components, no reports of national average, having a component such as “attempted writers” “attempted rx’s” judged via FIA data that is withheld by upper management, an abusive manager etc.

Stay silent = no severance

They should have axed whoever came up with and approved the stupid made up super hero ads.

You need a sales force to drive a launch, not a marketing department. As the product matures, the marketing department will do. But early on, you need hustlers out there making the calls that matter - eyeball to eyeball - no multichannel myth.

To have the sales force win, it must be engaged. To be engaged, you need culture. Culture isn't free cookies at the home office, a ping pong table in the break room, or a flashy social media campaign - it's what sales leadership does to lead the way.

Martin and Terrie think their commercials built Otezla. Sorry, the sales force built that success in years 2014-2016. They should have gone with what built that for them. Instead, they went big Pharma. Big Pharma doesn't launch. Period. Measuring metrics works in the home office, but not in the office when a rep needs to message to the customer.

Our problem is arrogance.

Phathom NSM is going to be a disaster considering new PIPs and extension of existing PIPS. There are 33 open territories- the majority PIP’d and fired.

This is just the beginning of PIPs.

Somone needs to let that Coachability dude know what’s going on at Phathom.
no rep wants to be coached by these assholes
God I hate the word coachability. The only managers I’ve ever heard that use it constantly are the ones that stare at salesforce all day and wouldn’t do any better than me if they took over my role and had a hawk (like them) judging their every move and “coaching them” to do things differently.

In my experience they’re usually relying on their more experienced reps / directors and just want you to mirror how they would act as an IC. They just want a mini me to mold.

The best managers never mention “coachability”. They lead by example and I know they could step into my role and perform 10x better than me, so I was happy to be coached by them. I’d be stupid not to follow their advice to a T.

But not all managers are qualified to be managers, nor are they capable of giving sound advice- that’s the bigger issue. Coachabilty can be very ego-centric and that becomes an inhibitory factor.

That's a lot of reps being PIPed out. I wonder how many they will fire this week? By next week the list of open territories will be even longer. They will never be able to fill these open spots. The word is out. Avoid this company.

Agree. Can’t imagine the list by next week. Recruiters can’t fill positions. This is the worst I’ve seen in 30 years of sales. What a shame

Does Ohio have one manager or two ? What about Michigan?
