Haha, well this is an interesting email we all just received this evening for a CV Town Hall on Wed., Nov 28th. Several threads on here have had lots of activity lately about a possible CV layoff before Santa arrives. Got a feeling this is the advance notice many will get their shitty Novartis early Christmas gift soon called - LAYOFF! For those previously in denial of such an occurrence, I ask you now if your still feeling so good about the PIONEER study and your future here?

Just in time to ruin our holiday weekend now worrying about our futures here. I want out. Give me the severance package!
 




Just in case most of you in CV are now emerging from underneath a rock regarding company news.....there is a lay-off that will happen this coming week for Oncology/Hematology. After years of carrying the water financially for most of the other divisions we are being rewarded with the ax before Christmas. So please scale back all the whining until you actually have something to be pissed about!

Sorry to hear about your division getting the “axe” before Christmas and thanks so much for carrying the uncle Novartis financial burden so long. No whining here lol, just ready for this chapter to be over as we have struggled here w/ this damn drug for over three years and everything short of beating our HCPs over the head has been tried, and we are at the end of our ropes. We have been beat on by the K Fink & Co Senior Leadership, our RDs and ABLs for too long and it’s been a frickin nightmare from hell here. Of course we are releasing our frustrations on here, so please respect our disappointment as I bet you have made more bonus there than most of us have here in CV. Good luck to everyone moving onto better opportunities soon.

I am praying to be laid off actually. Down to the final biotech interview next week for a way better position starting very soon w/ a higher base and $40k target bonus plan. Novartis can give me the Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas AXE + SEVERANCE and I will be singing “HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND LET THE MERRY SEVERANCE CHECKS START HITTING MY BANK ACCOUNT REAL SOON.”
 




Sorry to disappoint, but this is no lay-off call. Those calls are not a week’s notice before Thanksgiving. We will get that call someday, but this is not it. This will be a total waste of time like always that most likely be X or Fink moving on or announcing we hit our sales goals this year. When they do lay us off, we will only have 1 day notice and the call will be at end of day. We all be selling Entresto in 2019 whether you like it or not.

What kind of idiot are you? Have you not read the oncology posts recently? They have known a layoff is coming for wks and also know they have to stay home next Wednesday, November 28 to find out their fate here or not. Quit making such stupid claims about a week’s notice not being a layoff call. This is the typical way most Pharma companies do it by giving a pre-Townhall announcement the week of Thanksgiving and lowering the boom when you come back after choking down the turkey and mashed potatoes. Wake up and smell the coffee Junior

This thread is actually better than watching TV tonite. Kudos to the above poster calling out another who’s Head is either buried in the sand or still drinking the co Kool-aid. What a dumbass comment to think the Town Hall isn’t gonna be a layoff announcement.

Awful to hear what they are doing to your division. Novartis a Heartless Company proves they don't give a shit about any of us we are just a territory # & an employee ID# to senior mgt.

yes the sons of a b****** would the way it worked in July they cut 90. They had live Town Hall of with the direct Salesforce explaining the benefits of a contract Salesforce you can make cuts or add when you need to per K f****** F. But don't get too comfortable next will come the direct end-of-the-year direct cuts how do these people sleep at night. Usually the ABLs get wind of it a few of the good ones couldn't stomach it and left before it ever happen warning the PDI people what was going down. Air Line tickets to the Jan. national meeting it should have been a done deal by now that's another sign sign cuts to come.

Yes I am Scrooge I'm in the top 20% so I'm safe nothing's going to happen to me. Go out and sell something.
 




In the layoff I was part of, they left an email the morning of the conference call to say a conference call to be held at 12:00 the same day and then it was a 10 minute call to say goodbye on Dec 23rd. Worthless company. But as others... moved on to better things.

That would make to much common sense so that is not going to happen here at NVS.

NVS America has a P&L sheet w/ line item "Sales Force" She needs to stay in budget or under preferrable. If it's under it looks better to Basel. It's to the beneifit of Fink to reduce the expensive numbers "actual reps" than it is to reduce the less expensive numbers "PDI" she get more bang for her buck reducing expensive NVS employees while still maintaining a good sales force head count keeping PDI. capeesh?

Yes absolutely and well said poster. Fink has no warm blood in her veins and won’t be losing any sleep over kicking many of us out on the street soon. Ask anyone that worked under her @ Sanofi. She is ruthless. And hello ABLs, many of you are gonna be kicked out too. Nothing like a good Mgmt housecleaning wirhbso many toxic ABLs here.
