Pfizer contract, when is it up???

Calm down everyone - There is really nothing you can do at this point - What will happen, will happen. If you get let go, another job will come along, it's really that simple. I plan to take the next three 'daze' and stay home, relax, catch some sun and crack open a cold beer by at least noon. If I make the cut, I'll be back in the field on Friday. If not, at least I got a good start on my base tan.

Good luck to you all and don't stress - it's not worth it!

Have they said what time the Townhall will be held on Wednesday? I haven't seen an email yet. Doubt we will get much info on the call, they'll probably keep it pretty generic.

I really don't understand the purpose of the conference call. We already know we are supposed to stay home Thursday and wait for the "you're gone" phone call. So what would they need a conference call to tell us that for?? Only thing I wonder about is the pay for the rest of the June- as well as full eligibility and payment for 2nd Q bonus.

I have the same questions as you. I'm sure the conference call will be a re-statement of the email we got from Christina D. when she announced the call. They definately won't open it up for questions and probably won't shed much light on any of the questions we have. I for one will ask a barrage of questions to my RFC if I am let go on Thursday. I wish everyone the best!

Honestly, what questions are you going to ask?

"Why me????"

Don't take it personal. It truly is a business decision. Like the previous poster said, take it lite, relax, and take the necessary steps to cover yourself.

Asking questions might help you process it, but it won't change the outcome. So take the opportunity to be professional, be thankful for the opportunity and remember that you've probably been through a layoff before. Afterall, not many of us choose to be in cso's as our first choice.

Nevertheless, they have treated us with respect and have given us much more than we expected. We have truly an opportunity to maintain the relationship in case some other contract pops up.

Thank you publicis!

And remember that the rfc's are just doing their job. Let's keep that in mind. They are carrying an awful weight on their shoulders.

Our rfc has been a true gentleman. I would be honored for the opportunity to work for him again.

That's not the type of question I was referring to. I understand the contract concept and know it's not permanent. My counterparts and I are tripping over each other in the field so I would completely understand if my territory was eliminated. My questions are more about bonus, how long do I have insurance, my flex account and future opportunities. Not "why me?"

I agree. This was my first time working for a CSO, and honestly, I would do it again if tomorrow's outcome isn't great. My RFC is amazing, and I would too be honored to work for him.

When people think contract, they think of how it used to be. People who couldn't make big pharma, or people trying to get into pharma. That is not the case anymore. Alot of my Publicis counterparts, and people I have met in training were great at what they do. This industry is tough. If you are here now, you have been through this before. This contract has been great, my pfizer counterparts treated me with the utmost respect, and I feel we were treated well.

Good Luck to all tomorrow!

Enjoyed your comments, but the part about your RFC is amazing...

well, aren't you getting carried away, just a tad, tad?

And if we lose our jobs...

we move on!
