Pfizer contract, when is it up???

Any word out there when the P4 contract is going to end?? My DBM is very quiet and does not give us any info says it will most likely be extended. I think they would have told us that already however the contract started in May of 09 and was only said to go 1 to 2 years, any info????
 












Actually, the town hall meeting never said it was extended. It said that it looked like Pfizer's INTENT was to extend it but nothing was final and that there would be many areas that would need P4 reps. Never said for sure and how long. I'm very eager to find out too. My wager would be that not all will be kept......sure hope so though.
Anyway, good luck everyone! Maybe we will hear something definite soon.
 






With the additional of King reps, cluster B reps are tripping over each other in the field. Seriously, do we need 6 reps selling lyrica & celebrex????? An educated guess would say B reps are gone and some A reps will be retained until the infamous LOE based on territory needs. I would assume that is a very small number.

It will be interesting this fall. If the King pain meds aren't approved then I wonder if they will be kept? Or will the Pfizer people be ranked and the low ones let go? But they can't keep all these high payroll people promoting old drugs. Even A side has Premarin cream and Viagra which are old. Chantiz and Toviaz are very small share drugs.

Interesting to see if the Read plan of more contract employees will happen.
 






I just wish we would find out something. I know they will want to keep everyone working in the field as long as possible, but not knowing is hard. I'm just wondering when we will be told one way or another.
 






It was probably not extended, they would not hesitate to tell you it was up but would not tell you if it were coming to an end. This contract was to originally set to go from 1 to 2 years and it already should have ended in April. Pfizer is not going to see a return on investment since are lists have been changed by Pfizer reps (with management approval) for us to call on all the low decile and no see doctors. This whole contract has been a joke from the start. Yeah save it, I am happy to be employed but have been degraded and abused since I have been here. I know it has not been like that in all areas but it has been really bad for me.

It will be over for most of us on July 1. The rest will be gone Oct 1. Heard from a higher up!

The worst part for me has been LF the So Cal RM.
 






We should be hearing some news within the next 2 weeks. They just need to tell us already what is going on! It seems like we are getting good feedback from RFC and Pfizer DBM that we will be around after June 30th.

My dm told me that 30% cut in June. Extension will be till Oct. Start looking for a real job, now.
 


















If your kept they will surely not tell you it will only be for 3 more months. SD might big might know at this point. It doesnt look good for contract but if cutting cost is the company issue feel many on the direct Pfizer side might go as well. King is in a strange situation with so few products and reps on board already. Training them on Celebrex and Lyrica doesnt make a lot of sence to only let them go a few months later. Might it have been done to make them feel they are not going anywhere. I don't believe anything has happened with anybody yet. I guess we will all find out together. Good luck to us all both on the King, Pfizer and Contract sides. It's anybodys guess at this point, and lets face it we are all just guessing. There will be cuts it's just a matter of who. Please don't beat yourself up over why it's just a job and their are others to be had if you keep trying.
 












On June 8th they will say the same thing they said a few months ago. "Great news, the contract has been extended (per territory)!"
The last few weeks Pfizer in the Northeast had meetings to introduce the King and Pfizer reps. and go over POA. I, nor any other PSS B rep. that I know of was invited....that is NOT a good sign!
An earlier post was spot on, B reps. GONE and maybe a few A reps kept until LOE in Oct.
