PDI Leadership

Worked for PDI on a ROCHE contract that ended (of course), hands down the worst career experience I've ever had, (been in the industry for 8 years), SE DM was a total scumbag, he basically did nothing then asked us to lie to Roche about how many ride-a-longs he'd done, etc. hands off is one thing, but not managing or leading your team,, that's entirely different...

oh yes, and the regional manager, she was a total lush who dressed like a 23 y.o. slut, couldn't go to a function without getting fall down drunk (she got "rolled over"), oh and one of the reps down in south florida/tampa had been working for another company as an associate rep, so she had two jobs the entire time (I beleive she got "rolled over" too), the Atlanta rep didn't even leave her house and she was very proud of that,, it was pretty bad,

NO LEADERSHIP WHAT-SO-EVER, Pdi is just a place to get a paycheck-easiest interview process I've ever experienced, (and by the time training was over, it was apparent why...)

Rick Sh. quit last year didn't he, supposedly he was getting all the business for pdi at the top,
what happened there??

Once this diagnostic thing tanks just like every other idea leadership has had and the company is out of cash its goodbye PDI. Let's see...hmmm: Voice, DCA, EngageCE, Pharmakon. NL is officially 0 for 4 while spending over 100 million dollars. If our sales results are so important why aren't the results of leadership's "new ideas". "Accountability and Results" huh? I guess that new "value" we had to be trained on stops at us middle managers in the field and doesn't apply to the home office leadership team. All they do is steal the past failed ideas from former companies and pawn them off as their own...like the "Center of Excellence" under FA that can't even put out an accurate call plan! But God forbid I miss one field ride along...

From PDI...nothing. It's like going to the zoo and watching monkeys throw poop at each other...only the leaders at PDI are still dumb enough to smell their hands afterwards. NL, GM, FA, JL should just go back to being what they always were...insignificant!

Contract with XenoPort was a joke on PDI - the good ol Reliant ee's got together again and can't wait to separate from PDI. Writing was on the wall when PDI key players were eliminated from interactions with XenoPort one by one...used and thrown out.

Re: PDI Leadership - XenoPort (who???)

Really if you think PDI will be hurt in the end by this your wrong - it's XenoPort that needs PDI to get to where they are today (that's not saying much but be realistic). XP is just a wanna be in a world of pharma professionals - won't be around for the long haul with only 1 copycat drug too.

Ever get the feeling that the board of directors has more people than the corporate office? Anyone ever been to the corporate office? I feel like this is being run out of someone's garage.

PDI is a fucking complete scam not unlike a Ponzi scheme. The big difference is a Ponzi scheme is run by someone really smart. A criminal, but smart. PDI is run by a group of fucking idiots that are so fucking stupid, it should be criminal!! You can't explain to real business people what it is this fly by night outfit does. They just laugh their asses off! What's worse is the even bigger morons at big Pharma that hire them!! Hahaha! Hire a company to sell your products but won't share in the risk of selling. And they go hire rejects and lazy bastards to manage the sales reps. Brilliant!!!

While I don't share the abrasive tone of the previous poster I must agree. As a former Novartis employee recently downsized in April, I don't understand why the future of PDI would be molecular diagnostics. Judging from previous posts this seems like another stolen idea that Novartis tried and failed. Here's a head's up PDI...the molecular diagnostics division Novartis tried to start failed miserably and has been dissolved. It cost them millions in failure and is no longer. Plus this market is flooded with start ups and innovative ideas you know nothing about. And the list goes on and on. If you want to be biotech/cutting edge then you need biotech/cutting edge thinkers, not the coat tail riders of blockbusters with no competition.

Just met a PDI "Manager". Was totally unimpressed with her. The managers they hire obviously do not know what they want or what they are doing. They are just marking time with their jobs.

Hey we have a rapist as a manager in this company. He was hired by our company after being fired and sued and criminal charges from another. He lost by the way. I have seen the documents, it's real. Want to know who? I will tell but it will get erased. Any suggestions on how I tell? He is little short troll of a man. Any guesses?

Which contract? That would be a start.
