Panel Interviews

Great job anywhere but the Southeast. The SE Director is a joke. I had a friend of mine who worked with him at AZ tell me he is a micro manager and cant be trusted. He said he was working two pharma jobs at the same time and showed up in the wrong car one day with one of his bosses and was fired. What a joke. How does this guy still have a job??? He must have snowed someone in upper management at Alkermes really well. Suckersssss.

Are you talking about Jemal Gibson?

Why are panel interviews during the weeks that most people take spring break vacations with their children?

Why do you assume this is a problem for everyone just because it's a problem for you?
For example, did you know that not everyone has kids?

Also, not everyone who has kids takes them on a trip during spring break. I don't. We take a vacation and do things locally. It's easier for me to make it to panels while I'm on vacation than when I'm working full time.

Also, you're a dipshit.

If your spring break vacation you have every year is more important than securing a meaningful job then you have some serious issues with life prioritize. Don't bother with the panel interviews and let someone else who really appreciates the opportunity to interview take your interview slot! Plenty of good people out there need work and you are not one of them. If I knew who you were I personally would cancel your interview.
Get real and grow up!

WTF! You sound like some yuppie soccer mom that works for 10 to 2 everyday! Now you are upset because little Brad and Jennifer might not be able to go to Disneyworld over their spring break! Do us all a favor and take an overdose of Valium to end your miserable, BMW obsessed life!

You all are a bunch of douchebags. Yes, most people plan their vacations 6 mos in advance. Pharma companies expect you to drop everything and usually give you less than a week notice to travel somewhere for an interview. If they don't understand that, you don't want to work for them. There comes a time when you have to realize that your interviewing them also. If the interview process is a bitch, chances are everything else will be when you come on board.

Very accommodating. Couldn't make one panel week and they moved me to another. Multiple cities multiple weeks. Just ask and you'll be slotted for another week. If you are the right person they will adjust for you. Panels are actually not bad. Like that I met many alkermes people. Makes my choice easier when I know they've got good people within the company.

We don't want you. We want someone who is not entitled to have 1 day of their spring break occupied. You either want the job or you don't. If you do, you'll go and hope they don't see that you're a whiny rep who will be a nightmare if hired.
