This contract sucks for a few different reasons. I sold a similar product with another company and I can promise this will be a tough sell. Doctors are trying to get away from prescribing opioids and aren't willing to try new products because of the abuse issues. The company will say that there are a ton prescribed blah blah blah but when you dig deeper over 70% prescribed is to Medicaid patients. If the drug is on Medicaid it will have a chance to do good but I doubt it will get that coverage. The salary being in the 60's is awful being that you will be selling an opiod. Most reps selling these types of drugs are in the 80's on average. I would take the job if you were desperate but with the type of product it is it's going to be a tough sell and pharmacies hate stocking new narcotics for many different reasons. If the company was paying a fair salary then I would put up with all the garbage that comes along selling this type of drug but with the expected salary I don't think it's worth it
