It’s not a delay. It’s a process. They aren’t going to rush it for your benefit. No company does. One or two weeks isn’t going to matter in the long run. Chill. It’s all going to happen but patience is key.
Candidates are urgent but companies don’t always share that urgency.

What issues are they then? As for the approval date, its March.........that gives around 8 weeks for training and study material and then straight into selling. So again, why delay?

Where have I spoken about rushing for my benefit? I spoke about them completing it timely so sales can start ASAP for their own benefit, they are the profit makers.......you are just the pawn. No company who interviewed candidates before christmas are going to wait three weeks into January to give a decision, the decision was already made weeks ago, you just weren't told its a No.

Agree!

Think about what you've just said. 8 weeks to go. Background checks, other HR checks, references - all taking 2/3 weeks and then ontop of that training - 2/3 weeks and that comes out at 6-8 weeks with no other issues arising. You'd know this if you had a brain.

If you received an offer and talked to your DM then you would know that teams are not filled. I also know that theyre not telling some people no because the first choices aren't working out for some spots. Training is only a few weeks at home and then a meeting when the drug gets approved. We are told not to put in our notices with our current company yet. I am really sorry you didn't get he offer.

Totally false. Start date is set, paperwork signed & resignation given at current company. They are not keeping people on the hook in case the new hires don’t work out. There’s a handful of openings on the BMS site because celgene no longer exists. If you haven’t been given an offer it’s a safe bet that you should move on. I was kept in the loop during the entire process by DM & recruiter (almost 3 mos with merger & holidays) then given an offer day after final. It’s been a very smooth process. Reach out to your recruiter if you’re unsure of where you stand vs taking advice from the many trolls on here.

I am not sure what you are missing. I received an offer, cleared and signed and have been in the process since late October. I am not starting for 3 more weeks. Official. All I am saying is there are waves and they are most certainly keeping people on the hook in my district. Rejection letters went out to absolute no"s after the face to faces. A number of people haven't been able to wait for an offer or have accepted another offer. There are a lot of great jobs right now if you're good. I chose to wait this out but many didn't especially since offers from most companies went out in 2020.

The comment about being told by new employer not to put in resignation at current company seems ridiculous and unethical. Offers can be rescinded if they find out you’re double dipping. Not smart.

Truth is nobody really knows. I guarantee you there are people that covering their butts and aren’t putting in notice until approval happens. I don’t think the company would ever recommend double dipping but I’m sure it’s happening. And I’m sure every territory and manager handles their offers differently so unfortunately Cafe Pharma can’t really give any real information.

LOL@the BS-er on here who is telling us not to put resignations in!! So we know that entire post is BS now.
