Overtime Lawsuit payouts

So has anybody heard what the average payout for reps will be in the Overtime Lawsuit verdict? It should be a relatively simple computation but I'm curious if anyone has heard anything. Are the lawyer's fees deducted from everyone's payout or did the court award lawyer's fees to be paid by Novartis, in their verdict?

overtime lawsuits will not be paid out in June. Gender discrimination was settled almost a year ago and we will receive money in May. Overtime lawsuit money at best will be a year.

thats cuz we all knowz the gender suit is a bunch of BS where as the
OT is based on hardworkn abused reps likes myself who iz legit owed
the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
 
































Do you have to call to be included in the OT lawsuit payout? I thought everyone that worked at the company during the time period mentioned would be covered in class action. What was the exact time period you had to be employed?

It is waaay too late to join the OT lawsuit. We were just given a few months to join and that was years ago...back in 2004. I'm one of the plaintiffs and I spoke with an attorney about the lawsuit the other day. He said they're still waiting for Novartis's response to losing on appeal. So, I suppose they could take it to the Supreme Court. Hardly likely, but no telling how long they can play this waiting game. Seriously, I signed all the paperwork in 2004...THAT WAS 7 YEARS AGO!

Where did you hear this information? I just spoke with one of the attorneys the other day and he said that NOTHING had been decided. Novartis hasn't decided if they want to appeal the case or not. They can take several months to decide what they want to do.

However, we're supposed to get our checks for the gender lawsuit the end of May. They didn't tell me how much I was going to get...where are you getting $9,800 from?? I'm assuming that's the gender lawsuit, since it's definitely not the OT lawsuit. I sure as hell HOPE it's the gender lawsuit...that will ROCK!
 








Just contacted the law firm in charge. The case is now back in novartis legal and novartis has to decide to go to a trial for payout amount or settle. Do not expect to hear anything for another six months. This is per the lawyers so their is no pay out at this time. So another six months and we should have another update.
 








Overtime lawsuit penalty will equal approximately 100 million dollars divided by approximately 2,500 reps. If you work in California or New York you are automaticaly included in the class action unless you "opted out" in writing. Reps in other states will not be included in lawsuit unless they "opted in".
The HR department is scrambling as to how to address this suit as changes MUST be made. Novartis took a chance and tried to be heard before the US supreme court and were denied, which basicaly means it's a dead issue to fight it any longer.

There is no apeal. Novartis filed a writ to be heard by the US supreme court and was shot down. There is no where else to go!
