OSS reps gone after Q3

Well, the OSS side just recieved info on Q3 SICP. So does that mean we need to work our tails off for a Q3 payout they we're NOT going to recieve if these layoffs happen in June? I think the Op is blowing smoke up our asses regarding that June timeline.

You are an idiot and deserve to be fired. Those unfortunate souls that got "laid-off" in August got their bonus. You really are STUPID. No wonder you are still there. Heaven help you. You have less than 60 days, spend your energies getting out, not selling the over-priced Tylenol that they are having you sell. I'm sorry they just don't care about you, only the "shareholders" (which is them). How many shares have they given you since they spun off? ZERO. Think about it? Don't be delusional.

Actually, I know of a few that haven't been paid their bonus when they were PIPed and let go in August. It was the fact that they were on a PIP for not hitting the XXR magic number of 50 or whatever it was. That was part of the PIP agreement - no bonus payout. Plus that bonus was going to be crap anyway.

Please everyone believe this post. This is the truth and every single OSS rep should be looking for a new job immediately to protect yourself. This layoff unfortunately is going to happen and I am being told it may happen before we get to June. My post is being sincere as I don't want people to be left without jobs. Don't spend anytime on this job right now and try and find something else. This is not a cruel joke. The company Maury be cruel but this post isn't. I promise that I would not leave this post if it was the truth so please believe this message. Go protect yourself and start working on a new job before it is too late. You have more bargaining power when you have a job versus when you don't.

No one was PIP'ed AND let go in August. You took one or the other. Those that took severance, got their bonus. If you took PIP and got laid off in September or October anyway, I don't think they got bonus.

I took the measly severance and they turned around and paid me out $8K in bonus. Hilarious. Hey, you did a great job with our flagship products, but you can't move the dog. See ya - and thanks for all of those years you sold our shitty products and made us $$. Sorry we didn't have any stocking, managed care wins, or more "free" cards for you, or that we mandated complete misdirection and failure.

Corporate never assumes responsibility for their decisions. When they screw up its the sales force that gets the blame. Home office is incompetent and I wish them nothing but misery!

Holy crap. That's in 3 weeks. This is starting to get pretty scary.

The sad thing is do you think this company gives two shits about us? Hell no! People with families are about to lose their jobs after that "rah rah" lev presentation saying eveything is great. So sad they can blame everything on the salespeople when they are the ones making the horrible decisions. I guess they don't care they have blood on their hands and that is really F@cked up.

They didn't give a shit about the first wave, the Inventiv reps, or the second small wave. What makes you think they care about anyone now?

I heard MNK had never had a lay off before 8/2014. Is that true? If it is, it sure says a lot.

According to Mark's email this week, looks like changes coming for entire company, not just OSS. Wants company to be leaner and more efficient. Will be interesting to see if anything happens in ARD.

You're absolutely right. This lean and efficient plan means there will be a major company-wide restructure. The OSS division will be hit the hardest because of the sheer number of people affected, but there will be reorgs and layoffs in every other dept as well.

Yes this is true. However in 2014 it wasn't a layoff either
. Mallinckrodt cancelled a contract with inVentive. Mallinckrodt reps effected were low producers. So performance based firings. Not layoff.

That is not true. The MNK reps affected in August struggled with XXR. Yes, it was based on performance, but there was no goal. They made one up arbitrarily and gave the choice between PIP and layoff. If it would have been a pure firing, there would have been no severance, no bonus and no option to claim unemployment.

They have thinned the ranks since then. Canceling the Inventiv contract was essentially a layoff, also. Reduction in force if that is what you would like to call it.

How credible is your source? This is a really scary situation. I've been laid off once about 7 years ago, and it was pure hell between then and landing on my feet. I dread going through that again.

Not the other post, but my manager told me that many jobs will be lost and at that time he thought it would happen in June. General info I know, but That is all I know.

Regardless what happens, we do know that there is a large cut planned for sales reps and managers. If you haven't started to get your resume out to recruiters etc., you need to do that to protect yourself. It is worth the time to commit to this just in case your job is affected. If everything works out, then all you lost was a bit of time updating your resume and getting it out to recruiters. These efforts could benefit you in the future anyway, so these actions aren't futile.

I think everyone needs to ask themselves three basic questions: Are you happy here? Do you like and respect who you work for? Do you think they sincerely care about you? If you answer no to just one of those questions, then you have your answer.

I have two words for you: Horse$hit!!

8/14 was a layoff plain and simple. They managed to keep the first wave under 50 to bypass WARN. And yes, this is the first sales force layoff. Sales force been going since 2000. I was there 10 of those 15 years.

Using inVentiv was a ploy to cover their collective asses in case XXR went south. No backlash there.

Where are Ron and Jamie when you need them? This management crowd at MNK now couldn't hit a bear in the ass with a bass fiddle, let alone goals of any kind.
