Ophthalmic Offers

I agree. Everyone seems happy and I told them a salary number that was 20K more then my current base and they said no problem. Waiting on offer, I had my final interviews this week and everyone was very Laid back and happy. I am considering it, never called on eye care but seems exciting!

At least you got a call back! Managers and RBD say we will be in touch and they vanish! At least they could of reached out and said thank you for your time but we went with a another candidate....

This post is just another manager-authored example of the desperation at Sun to get people to join.

Interviewed in the midwest. Received offer. $72K base, $32K at plan. Car allowance of $350/month. So people are being offered more base and a car? WTF?

That's extremely low!! You're getting robbed, that's the truth. Is this your first pharma job?? Odd that a manger would interview let alone hire someone w little exp but f that's what they're offering you that's f##ked up!
Sun is a %hit company for sure. Goes to show!

Seems on par with what others have posted. Sun OTH only has two drugs to offer so it makes sense they aren’t paying much. The way of Pharma these days. Experienced OTH reps are not coming to Sun. Sun is very low tier Pharma.

I got a call today from the RM saying I was getting an offer. Didn't receive anything from HR so wondering what the deal is with that. Not sure what to think about this dry eye drug. I've looked up the clinical data comments and it seems to look good. Good differentiators from Restasis and Shires' drug. Concern is the cost of it and access. Thinking initially Cequa should do well cause of off patent issues with Restasis coverage but havent heard any comments from RM about coverage. He seems out to lunch. Didnt even know anything about the clinical data of Cequa. Really!

Anybody get offers and how were you notified? Call, email offer etc?????

110 base, verbal from manager. I said I needed to think about it, anyone else? I have a job now just under paid at my current one. Does anyone have any thing nice to say on here? I have talk to over 10 reps in Eye and everyone seems happy. They say Bromsite hard to sell but dry eye is exciting to doctors.

So, let’s recap you idiot:

You say you that “concern is the cost of it and access”
And regarding your manager “he seems out to lunch”

You’d take this job knowing that Sun’s market access and pricing strategy (if you can use the word strategy and Sun in the same sentence), absolutely sucks and has a history of accomplishing zero. And, that your manager “seems out to lunch”?

Listen to what you just said.

If you take the job, you’re an idiot.
But, on the other hand, you’ll fit right in.

Your call big boy.

Maybe this is a regional thing. My base is low (1 year of primary care experience) and I only was offered $ car allowance. I want to get into specialty so I am tempted but with all these comments I may stay where I am at.

Listen to you intuition.... this company is unethical, they have a horrible culture, don’t care about their employees or the patients. There is no career here and no amount money is worth it.

Sun is a fantastic company and my manager is an awesome gal !

‘gal’ ??? Jeez, you must like her bc you’re 72 years old and she’s keeping you.

By the way, if you’re a female at Sun, you’re definitely going nowhere.

The culture is very male dominant (and that’s coming from a male). Shouldn’t be that way, but it is. Females are strictly operational and are directed what to do.

Hahaha you’re the same bitter washed up hag who floods these threads. It’s obvious by your wording.

Ps- the entire sales force is company car. So anyone who says otherwise is just a troll.
