Ophthalmic Offers

Novel dry eye product Cequa is racing to 100 mio in first yea of launch itself. Join and rake in moolah

Clinical data looks good. Early onset, good bioavailability but no formulary yet, access might be sketchy so the first year may be similar to what Aerie is dealing with regarding their new glaucoma drug. High expectations and low acceptance. Sun doesnt pay big moolah so not sure where you think that is happening.

Looks like nothin has changed at this dump! I was a rep here and left a couple yes and.. trust me it's not just the reps that are awful to work with but the managers too!! I remember my manager was inept and completely useless. Managwr was one of the top reasons I left this awful place. Place is a complete circus for anyone looking to come here. Good luck!!

Had a face to face over two weeks but no email if I'm meeting with anyone else so I'm guessing I'm out? Recruiter told me Oct 1 and Refional said Nov 1 start. Seems like a mess. Good luck to anyone else waiting. I was told I'd hear something by now

What company recruited for these positions or was it Sun recruiters?? U should hold the recruiters accountable for keeping you in the loop at least.

FYI Sun Rsm's are horrible and inexperienced. I'm curious to know as how the Rsm's promoted gonna know how to lead top performing reps who join since the Rsm's sucked when they were reps!

Had the face to face int weeks ago and was told I'd hear back and it's been over 3 weeks since anyone has reached out! What a liar these regional sales managers here. Told me straight to my face id hear fr him by 1st week of Sept. I took a a full day PTO as well to interviewn and wasted that sh%t. What a waste of time n a bold face lie.
So in return, I'll go back and tell my docs what a bunch of unprofessional liars these Sun folks are. I have years of experience and relationships with the top Ophthalmologists in my territory, far more than anyone from here.

If anyone else is in the same boat, just tell the docs you call on currently how these folks are at Sun. Credibility is everything in the Ophthalmology world and it's a smal world here trust me! Good luck to all but I'll stick to where I am.

Same thing here.
I was speaking directly with the SUN recruiter.

Both Sun recruiters and third party recruiters were used and reached out to candidates. But doesn't really matter bc all recruiters sucked on doing their job! These bozos clearly don't have a clue on their responsibilities to the candidates they referred. A complete f*ckin JOKE! The regional managers are all nowhere to be found. I heard from someone one rsm only plans to hire someone w no Ophthalmics experience bc Sun can't afford to pay over $95K+ for salary. I am beyond pissed as fu**ed. I took the time preparing, interview f2f n the pieces of sh&t have gone ghost! the worst of any hiring sales force I've seen.

Rep here with a little more than 1 year of experience. Interviewed for OTH position in mid Aug. Just received offer. $72K base with car allowance ($350/month) and approximately $32K at plan. I am making more at my current job for base. Will counter the base but from what I was told, not much room to negotiate. Didnt realize a specialty gig would pay so little.

Why would you even consider this company ?
And is countering and getting 3k more going to change your lifestyle?
No, I didn’t think so.

All the reps seem very happy. I have talked to several over the country, seems like an exciting time with several drugs coming out. I know the Derm reps are not happy but I feel eye care people seem happy. There is a company car , not sure why you where told 70’s for base. I never heard that.

You will hear that if you get an offer and I was not offered a car. Market share of Bromsite is about 15%. How long do you think that is sustainable? Dry eye could be huge but this RMS group are dummies. They have no idea about how to launch a product. Good luck if you go with them.

The previous post brings up a good point.
Sun has no structure / infrastructure to support a successful product launch.
Just look across the aisle to the tildra fiasco.

there’s a few butthurt, washed up trash reps on here who spread negative bs. Sun never offers a 72k base. Also, the entire company does company cars. You think a pharma company will do a $350 allowance? Nah. And yeah most reps like working here. I’ve been here for a year. It’s a solid gig. Strong upper management. Don’t listen to the few morons who flood these boards with negativity.
