Interviewed but don't think I'd wanna jump ship to come here. Haven't heard from anyone but that's prob a good sign. I'm good where I'm at. This comp sounds like a circus. I know a couple of Sun reps in another division and trust me neither suggested to jump ship!!

Oct or Nov was the target date I was told on interview.

The funny thing is that one of the two guys on this topic WANTS to work for Sun and the other probably already DOES.

That, my good friends, is an example of Sun attracting and keeping such crappy people. The real talent left or declined to join in the first place.

Agreed.
And having Sun on your resume will be a problem. I was lucky to join up with an old boss and they went to bat for me, but others in the company pushed on the ‘why leave Sun so soon’ topic.
 






For what its worth to the people interviewing and asking about offers. I had an interview several weeks ago (face to face with a regional sales manager) and as part of the interview I was asked what my salary requirement was (somewhat indirectly). I found it odd that I was asked at that particular point of the interview process yet I responded with at least my current base or more. I was quickly shot down with "oh, that's not in the ball park of what is going to be the salaries for these opportunities", response. I was then told base was between $70-90K with I believe the manager said at plan $30K commission. Honestly, when the manager told me the low base, I immediately lost interest. No formulary for the Dry eye drug, no cost data, weak territory from what I can tell, and certainly not a company I am willing to take a pay cut for. Not to mention the regional sales manager was horrible in interviewing skills. Used a cheat sheet to ask me ridiculous, pointless "what if" questions. Can only imagine how that translates into their management skills.

They lied at first to get me to interview. Then when I got the f2f RSM wasted my time after i specifically told them what I was currently making and that i couldn't take anything lower. In my mind I'm like I told u all this on the phone int!!! Also the RSM had the nerve to reply something along the lines of 'cost of living is that high here?'... Who f'n cares the point is there is no way I would accept lower than what I'm making! Dude like r you dumb or something? Waste of time!

I also found it weird the RSM asked a ton of questions about my product I'm currently selling (in ophth but not a competitor). What was the point?? Heck I have no clue.
Also all the RSManagers doing the interviews are NEWBIES!! They've just been either hired for this role internally or hired some newbie RSM w no experience. Incompetent micromanager Is all I can say!
