$50k.
Medical companies feel that if you are worth your salt - low base pay, high commissions (60ish). Be prepared to leave with a beeper or cellular phone glued to you.
You have to be at EVER case or you make no money. With so many competitors out there, it is very hard to get a hospital to stock your stuff.
No real work/life balance.
If you are single and have no live - go for it.
Serious burn out rate.

110k total and you douche bags poke fun at pharma reps. We can work 40 hours a week and make 110k. Keep chasing those cases, beeper bitches!

Keep your 110K ....I make 195K with Mentor and happy to do it

Whoever thinks pharma doesn't pay well is a fool. I make over $100k base and I have friends making a lot more than me. I worked in device and sometimes the grass is not greener. I do work a full week, not the bs '20-30' that these lame-o's profess. So everyone be happy where you are and enjoy whatever facet of your job that is an advantage cause neither job is ever going to be a dream job... It's just a job, albeit a good paying one.

Re: pay

75 base at the moment. $130-150 comm at plan. Uncapped at the moment. This pays double of a drug rep job and is far more interesting. Drug sales are okay if that is all you know, but I would stab myself in the eye before doing that job again.

130-150k is double what drug reps get paid??? I am a hospital rep and have not made less than 140K. Any "drug rep" who is specialized, hospital based, or in bio-tech is easily making 150K. You device reps crack me up.

hi there! anyone have any insight on the mpls opening that recently posted? I'm curious about the state of the territory; crap, good potential, etc?
Any insight would be much appreciated! thanks
