One of the best leaders is leaving Novo Nordisk

I thought I would dig up this old post being I just saw John in the Atlanta airport and is a great guy. He still is a stand up guy, nothing but positive things to say as he usually does about life. He is doing very well with Ipsen (I think this is the name). His new company is expanding and he is doing well with new company. Nice to see people who leave Novo on their terms and go on to do better things. Novo Nordisk needs to keep people like this guy and not let the good ones get away.

Good point, the former employee's of a company are their best ambassadors. In this respect, I think Novo is well below average. Most former Novo employee's trash their former employer. Why is that ?

You know people will be calling him now for a job

Are you kidding me, I have first hand knowledge that this guy was asking to come back to Novo just a few months back. He didn't make the right decision.

He was asked to come back not once but twice. HR would not match his salary requirements. And yes, we are buddies. Funny how the story gets twisted.

True story. Miss him, but know he's doing great.

He was asked to come back not once, but twice????? Puleeeze. I've been in this industry 20 years and have NEVER seen a company "ask" someone to return, or match a salary to keep someone. I have ocean front property in Arizona that I would like to sell you.

Nobody cares how long you've been in this industry, but he was indeed asked to come work in another region.
