Amgen is loving this huge distraction, all my customers talk about is if we will still be their rep after our re-org! Dr asked me why we are firing and Amgeb is hiring? All right idiot. Let me explain it to you slowly.
The 19th is when Novartis announces their earnings for the quarter. 30 days before the
earnings date companies are in what is called a quiet period. During this period companies do not release any information that may effect the stock price unless absolutely necessary. Therefore your prediction of this week will not happen, any announcement of cutbacks will occur shortly after the earnings are announced, hence the 19th or shortly thereafter.
