Does Nils or Todd Usen still work at Olympus?
Hello -
I've read quite a few threads here, and spoken with a couple reps. I have the opportunity to get in on the urology side with Olympus. What is realistic pay these days?[/QUOTE
Olympus Urology is still a 225-250K gig on average. Some make well north of 250K. Few make less than 200K.
Because all they do is complain and they can’t get a job anywhere else as they are old school and lazy. Urology would be better off if they left. Everyone wishes they would just leave!!!Some have left, but not that many!
Plain and simple, Matt Woodward is over his head! I actually feel bad for him as he is trying hard to fake it. He got the job because he was close friends with Richard and had some experience as a AVP and marketing director. Never a VP of Sales and never an Executive Director of Marketing. It was evident in the hiring process that Richard was going to ram this thru. Matt is a good guy, but just way over his head and not to mention has a global leader in Glen that literally has no clue what he is doing. They need to wipe the slate clean with both of them and actually hire someone with experience versus hope and pray these two gain experience and don't drive the company in the ground in the process.Heard Olympus Urology now started offering $70k salaries. This is a first. I used to work there, and it was always commission only. There was no limit. Now there is. Heard most tenured reps have left or will be leaving soon. This is now an intro level company. If you’re graduating college and want to get into the industry, this is a good choice. Good products, but be careful of the poor leadership. I could see Olympus going to a distributor model or $100k support specialist role. They aren’t that competent. Unfortunately, the Olympus that was once great has diminished. Olympus Has Fallen!
