Offers ??

i had a preplacement interview, and was told that BI would have first dibs on the positions. The reps will be offered a lower pay than they were previously making. If they decline, the territory will open to Ashfield reps.

Would the displaced BI rep be required to forfeit their severance pay if they accept this position?

Unretained BI reps are in a 60 day Warn period that began June 29. They do not work during this time but are still employees of BI and receive full pay and benefits. If during that 60 day period, they interview for a BI job, are offered it, and then reject it, they lose their severance. Lesson to learn - Don't interview unless you really want the job. Of course, if they accept it, they get no severance because they are not "severed". After August 31 the reps will officially be unemployed by BI and all positions moving forward at BI will be filled by Ashfield. After August 31 an unemployed BI rep can appy for any position with any company anywhere, including Ashfield, and if hired they would still receive their severance.

the BI rep in north Pa just got an offer for the territory that was previously posted as an Ashfield opening. Hoping the territories that will be filled by Ashfield reps will hear soon.

question for those who interviewed for the diabetes overlays...are the Ashfield recruiters still in contact with you all and telling you it's on hold? Or is it just quiet all together until someone figures out what's going on?

the BI page states that all hires prior to Sept 1 will be prior BI reps. Ashfield will be hired for all other future positions after that. Anyone heard this or to the contrary?

Some qualified displaced BI reps who interviewed for diabetes overlay and other open positions were told thanks but no thanks by upper management. My manager told me that TBMs (aka DM) had little say as to whether BI reps could be kept. They want to shift around specialty into these positions and then fill the rest with Ashfield. At least in some areas. As a displaced rep, I thought I would let this thread know.

Bi reps blow dead mules. Let the contract interviewees have those jobs. The bi reps r the bottom of the barrel. Give the snapper heads their crappy severance for work undone

This is being taken out of context. What the statement actually means is that IF a displaced or current BI rep applies for a position that the company has chosen to post internally and is chosen to be the best candidate for the position, they will remain a BI Rep. As of September 1st, the displaced reps will officially no longer be BI Employees, so all hairing after that point would be under the Ashfield contract.
