NS Meeting = BS

Unfortunately , you are all missing the big picture here. Lilly isn't an inclusive company and this initiative was really to encourage the support of diversity - that also includes the fact that we still work for a very generic company. It also really speaks to the support of engagement. Trust me. You can crucify your director, and I know very well who you are all speaking of. Why don't you try working for some of these other idiots? As a long time employee, and the way LLY is headed, CA is well ahead of the curve and has been working hard to improve the corporate culture especially around morale and engagement for years. If wearing purple was your biggest criticism of the meeting then we have far bigger problems. I'm more worried about the content, the lack of effort in planning the meeting, no real discussion on our products and the obvious lack of talent we have in our brand teams and BM. I'll support the wearing of purple ANY day if it means a better work environment and rallying to defend a peer/friend who doesn't feel that they work in a place where they can be safe!

I could not agree more with you about the "obvious lack of talent we have in our brand teams and BM" comment!!! I am psych rep and a great example is the Cymbalta chick that presented during the Psych Gen Session. I can't remember her name but she dressed like a 15 year old....I couldn't understand a word she said....AND, when I tried to ask her some question at the Brand Booth she was totally rude and walked away. I will to you all one thing, I used to work as an ABS rep and worked with Todd Wright when he was on the Relprevv team. He would have NEVER been so disengaging and disgenuine on the stage! Not sure if this girl is replacing Todd but if so Cymbalta is in HUGE trouble. They need to bring him back and do it fast before this ship sinks!!!!

BM is good at fooling people at higher levels of the company. She is absolutely awful at inspring confidence and trust in those she "leads" in the NS division. This seems to be quite common among so called "Lilly Leaders".
Her behavior is childish and very unprofessional.

My Manager told me that she called someone a "shithead" while on the stage during the manager's meeting. If that is true, could you imagine a VICE PRESIDENT doing such a thing?? Mike Mason would NEVER do that!!!!!

You must be referring to Snookie. She's the face of our brand team. Didn't you get the latest email?

Mason is a real leader. He should have been invited back for AA's job. Ricks must feel threatened by him.

Isn't Ricks cronyism amazing?

This post/er is 100% SPOT on and it sums up the major issues in INDY- dysfunctional leaders who fail to recognize where our top talent is. BM and AA are not it. You are so right. DR was threatened by MM and we all know it.

On their way out? Let's hope so while there is still a small chance to turn this train wreak around. DR should go as well. He has been a huge disappointment. One thing all three have in common is that they care only about themselves.

I love the new "would you spend your own money?" discussion. Lemme just ask.....would you have spent your own money to do this meeting? Not a chance in hell. But then, I wouldn't spend my own money for any of the meetings we've been to.

I would have spent my own money to give myself and my colleagues who deserved it a raise. I would not have spent money on Reveli, the I-70 sculptures or to bring another Harvardite onto the board of directors. I also wouldn't give the politicians a dime.
