Nov 9 - Beginning of the End

The south will experience much less of the burn than the north. This is based not only on access, which we know is alot better in the shout, but alsoanaged care and congestion of reps. Are there vacancies within your region? If you mapped out your territory and pinned out your offices, how far apart are re two furthest points? Where do you live in comparison to these points?

Please tell us more about the northeast...are any states "safe"; is Massachusetts completely "not safe"? The states in New England are all pretty small, and there are lots of reps...

I hear ya, and I apologize for my comments. I'm just tired of the panic. I really don't think it's going to be as bad as everyone thinks. But I realize I'm clearly in the majority with that notion.

In regards to the people that went to Supernus, I think the opportunity to advance their careers, get stock options with a company that although it isn't "new" it's a young one, combined with the fact that most of these people who left are actually going home was enough to entice them. I don't think a Shire from a few years ago could have convinced them to not take the jump.

The CEO leaving doesn't mark the end of Shire. This was the same guy who wanted to cut the sales force at least twice since he's been here, and probably had some influence in this re-org discussion as well. So, that shouldn't panic anyone.

The fine, well that's bad. But pharma companies are fined all the time. Plus, the actually monetary amount of the fine is (from all I'm hearing) going to be smaller than expected. Of course I can't say how I know this and this can't prove it. So I'm guessing most will say I'm wrong.

Its clear there is widespread corruption across the company, investigations are underway and senior VPs are looking at getting fired as soon as Russel leaves (good bye losers). Thats what happens in a company of nepotism and favourites that do nothing but crap on every one else, i'm getting out of this rat infested ship.
