Nov 9 - Beginning of the End

So...the word is that we will know our fate on November 9, doubt this because they are doing such a good job dragging it out and forcing people to quit.

Also, update on severence...As I read it, 3 weeks per year for senior sales and 2 weeks per year for sales...

Minimum 6 weeks for senior sales
Minimum 4 weeks for sales

Make it rain

How is senior sales defined?

Won't be as many because of the new vacancies. But as reluctant to post what I know because someone is bound to disagree with me, and post some dumb shit, I'll share.

The territories were designed (yes, already done) by a computer. Now, it's a matter of putting people in those spots. The days of shire concerning themselves with reps living in or near their territories are over. You're gonna be given a territority based on Shire's need only. We know about the 3 style reps that will make up the sales force. Commission structure will change. Decisions on territories are based on access, managed care, market growth. Most of this stuff is common knowledge though, so I don't think I revealed anything new.

How many do you foresee getting the pink slip?

I don't know. I think they originally wanted to make the layoff announcement on the 9th, but all these people jumping ship, although they won't admit it, is making them stall. No sense cutting people, to just have others leave, and them have Vacancies.

I know that areas with declining markets, poor access, and bad manage care coverage are those that need to be the most concerned. I'm sorry to say it, if anyone reading this falls into that criteria.

Thanks for the info. If you have great numbers will that save you?

That's where my info gets fuzzy. Admittedly this sounds fishy, but here's what I have heard. Your ga #'s are not being considered when it comes to your territory. And I don't know how much it's coming into play if at all. Reason being, there are A TON of regions and territories that got raped this quarter, and most are scratching their heads wondering what happened.

But basically now that the lists are complete, the decisions on who to keep and who to let go (again, I know this sounds ridiculous) is in the hands of ASD's and ZD's. no RD influence whatsoever. If this is true or not, I don't know. How they will base their decision if it is true, I don't know. But recent GA numbers HOPEFULLY for a lot of great reps, and even some not so great ones, will not be a factor.

If the ZDs have already been told who stays and who goes why decision is there to make?

A couple of things. 1- I'm not certain ZD's know. 2- perhaps they're waiting for more reginations I'm sure most people reading this have alresdy gotten calls from recruiters from you know who at this point. 3- I never said decision was made who goes or stays. What I did say is that the lists of territories Is done. Now, who goes where... That'll take time. Especially considering nobody really knows who will be here. 4- most of the people who have gotten calls to go to supernus have been with Shire for a long time. This will leave a younger, cheaper sales force.
