I had >100 new scripts and >125 total every month for the last 2 quarters. Good luck growing it
 






























We had goals to make then paid out on a % to goal achievement. For the last quarter they added a per script kicker. $25 per script for new scripts only - over baseline-. Top rep in country may have had 40 new above baseline for the quarter. Most were flat to minimal.

at $10 bucks a script, it sounds like we are getting screwed!
 












Some people obviously don't understand the baseline. Idiots! We get paid on scripts currently being written. I for one have no problem with that. I like my baseline. And If your baseline is really low then it won't be hard to grow above that. Take a minute to think about this.
 






You will make the least amount of money if you are in a territory that had a Somaxon rep up until the end. Those territories won't be able to grow as much as the others.

Congratulations! You just got the idiot award. Let me help you think through whether you get paid on everything. I will use really easy numbers so as to not confuse you. Also I'm typing really slow so I don't lose you. Ok are you ready? Get your calculator out.

Say for example your baseline is 100 and you get exactly 100. How much money you gonna make you genius? Let me help you with the math....100 x 0 = $0. Is your mind blown?

It's actually 75% baseline of scripts from February. Chances are, it's gonna be low baseline for everyone since no one was promoting it then. So if a territory produced 75 scripts in Februrary and a rep comes in and gets 100rx then they are only paid for 25 of those scripts. Also, the first few months there is an extra 3 or 4 dollars (can't remember which) added to scripts above baseline.

Not sure how far back it goes, but from all the data I got I know there wasn't much activity in my territory. I'd say my baseline is less than 20rx.

I'm an outsider here. Moved on a while back and just checking in to see how it's going. So you guys don't even know what your baseline is? Seems like that's something they would tell you. But it also sounds like this new company isn't exactly great at communicating. Best of luck in the sleep market. You'll need it

Screwed up your company isn't paying for scripts written after Somaxon acquisition. You all should be gettin paid regardless who was selling before. Sounds like this Pernix milks shit out of their reps. Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else. Sorry to say, but you guys are gettin screwed over. Never heard of any pharma company that goes by the 'baseline' bullshit. That's unheard of.

Especially when you have to work to maintain that baseline business. Free work for pernix that baseline isn't going to maintain itself.
 






So $10 a script for any scripts above baseline?? That aint easy cuz if that baseline drops you aint gettin paid on those new scripts. Hell yea we gotta maintain it or ur workin for free. More scripts u got already in your territory, harder to get paid on new scripts.
 






I've really tried to keep a positive attitude throughout all this. I was a team player at the meeting and I avoided all the negativity. There was a lot of it. But I'm really discouraged now. I don't see how I'm going to make all the money they have said. My manager is totally clueless and all he does is bash the company. I'm just fed up with it. I don't know how much more I can take. I'm trying really hard to like it here but there just isn't a lot of positive communication. Or any communication for that matter
 






This baseline is bullshit. We should be on a draw at the very most then within a certain period of time have the draw lifted and get paid on 100% of scripts in our territory. We aren't really being paid $10 a script with a baseline that we must do work for.

You can make $100k. Yeah right
