No cell/internet for you!

A regional sales manager who lives in Pittsburgh covers IOWA and the Dakotas. Flies every week. Major airfare expenses and hotel and meal expenses. A number of DM's live two or three hours from the edge of their districts. Again, hotel expenses and meals plus driving expenses. Any rational business would fix these problems.

First: They have contract with FED-X...they can ship whatever they want when they want, it is a yearly $$$$ contract. One price and that's it.

Second: How many times to docs/nurses call your cell...almost never. Shut UP!

Third: No internet charge: Big deal...if it is $40/month...and they use half that's. 70 CENTS a day: Grow UP and EAT SH*T___________. You lazy idiots!!

I don't know what planet you live on but I spend a ton of time on my phone on teleconferences..I had 7 calls alone last week and a lot of time speaking with counterparts and my DSM, but company will still pay a large part of that bill but Internet is imperative for our jobs:(

Not sure what your issue is w/ MM. Since the change last year, much different than the old boy CYA that it was known to be.
Change a few titles and move a few people around but the same corrupt culture still exists.
The people that were cheating on their expenses, arranging travel to their vacation destination and charging to the company, many of them are still there.

No kidding, enough with the freaking conference calls already. We are OUTSIDE employees not cubicle dwellers.

I'm going to be completely honest and I'm by no means an AZ homer. If I were running this business, I would do the same thing. Yes, I'm going to miss my $45 a month for internet. I feel like this makes my raise almost worthless. However, your phone can be used as a hot spot and, if this doesn't work, you can bring your laptop with you in the field and find a wifi connection in any town (hotel, restaurant, etc.) to do what you need to do. In terms of cell phone, $99 dollars a month will get you unlimited everything with most carriers. $75 a month will get most people unlimited talk/text and 2-4GB of data at a minimum. If you use more than that, you deserve to pay. There isn't anyone here that doesn't use their phone for personal use. If you have to pay a few extra bucks, deal with it.

It's nice that they make these cuts because we are looking for ways to save money during the "Enterprise Years" at the same time Oncology is having their meetings at the Waldorf-Astoria in Puerto Rico. I guess there was no where in the continental U.S. that they could get a deal on a hotel. Apparently we are not sharing the pain...

Another one that doesn't get it, we are the troops fighting in the front lines , AZ is screwing with the wrong people . The home bound staff needs to hunker down ,you never cut back on the troops . Trust me either things are really bad or some ass - wipe is making these changes.

Speak of yourself who does not get it. Are you that big of a POS that you can't fork over 30 bucks for the internet that you and everyone in your family uses? Really go back to expensing a shitload of copy paper for your kid's book reports and legitimize in your mind it is the right thing to do.

That's not the point. The billionaire company takes $30 bucks away from the little guy. The guy who determines the billionaires success to a certain extent. If $30 bucks keeps the little guy happy, let him have his cake. Now, people are talking about loss of money every month instead of doing our jobs. I think the distraction and lost revenue will be more than $30 bucks on that front, don't you?

You clearly aren't affected, don't work here or have a compensation package that doesn't require minor budget adjustments and inconveniences.

Additionally, it's not $30. It's a $25 reduction for cell phone with a planned loss of $45 for internet. Some expense more for Internet based on locale.

Bottom line, it's a $70 loss of benefits per month. Or a $840 pay decrease per year. Do the math on some of the copy paper you mentioned, it adds up.

Last company I was with made a profit of 10 million dollars a year! They gave us 600 a month for lunches, and 120 bucks for our cell! Paid 42 dollars for Internet and all this while making 10 million a year with 200 reps. Also unlimited use of the gas card with unlimited miles. AZ cheap ass only gives you 320 miles and then has the balls to charge .15 cent a mile after that. This is an embarrassment! The truth is that this company to big for its ego. I truly hate this cheap ass company and have from the time I got her. Bigger is not always better.

Yes but this is a Team meeting, managed care does this shit all of the time at the local or even individual level. Then they join their spouse for a vacation or an extended weekend. The spouse uses travel points that the account director accumulates by way of made up trips.
The company ends up paying for airport parking, rental car, many meals, some entertainment charges disguised as business expenses, and even hotel in some cases. And someone high up signs off on this bullshit. This has been going on for years in managed markets and marketing. If they want to address waste and corruption, this would be a great place to start.

Fine, reduce my cell phone payment. Why then, would we not see voluntary reductions in CEO and upper management pay plastered over every pharma news wire for the next month? Why would all the rich bastards not step right up and volunteer to take a 25% cut in their pay and bonus structure? How many VPs of this and that and whatever will help out the company and give up 5-10K per year?

I'll give up the $25 they want, and the internet sucks, but ok. Starting at the bottom with us ants was poor principle. Start at the top and show some leadership, you scumbags. Our cars don't even have floor mats. Do yours???
