No 3rd interview

I agree with the OP. Got back from the Abilify meeting in Texas.Combined sales force is under 500 total. The key is getting the next oral agent approved before the Abilify patent expires. Abilify Depot depends upon many things including pricing. They do have some head scratching metrics. But its a job, pays well, Ford Edge is great and the vacation time is better than most pharma companies in year one. 401 K plan but no pension. Again in this economy 99.9 percent of us take the job.

you people are hilarious. let me clarify a few things for you.
1. your 3 previous performance ratings are looked at and reviewed by the managers during the late evening sessions they put in- its hard to look at everything in the 1 hour interview you have but trust me they are reviewed.
2. the idiot that said his/her performance rankings and reviews are confidential clearly has something to hide- THEY ARE NOT CONFIDENTIAL! You show these to demonstrate a pattern of success and if you dont have it then so it goes! I would think that a compentant person would keep their success documents to help their case in an interview!
3. the process is not perfect and we try to get you all in/out as quick as possible but there were some gaps and wait time- sorry but you need to get over it-if an hour or two out of your life is too much to ask then you dont belong anyway

You are a complete and utter fuckface. I have never "shared" my numbers ever. Nor would I, first off every company I have worked for in this industry locked the company proprietary data, and yes IMS and company based forced rankings including Coach plans and field visit eval's are protected company intelligence. The last 2 companies that I worked for, real companies top 25 pharma and biotech collected all sales reports that may have been mass distributed via districts and regions and also collected all sales training workbooks, locked all email to 'read only' and reminded of the policies regarding reproducing or copying company owned information INCLUDING SALES RANKING, DATA, IMS, COMPANY GENERATED REPORTS etc...... you have NO idea what you are talking about. I have also found that if a hiring manager is caught up on a brag book or concocted spread sheets, one can maturely decipher that this is a red flag and that this is not the culture anyone worth a salt is looking to join. Interviews are a realistic conversation, the better pharma's companies understand this...... these are the facts, think what you may....

Have you actually interviewed anywhere in the last ten years? You sound like someone that just stepped out of a time machine. Maybe back in the day companies wanted to just talk to you, but now all companies want SOMETHING to prove sales effectiveness, not just a "realistic conversation". By the way, why did you continue working for a company that locked you out of your own sales data so that it was 'read only'? I would have left that manipulative company culture as soon as possible.

I completely agree with you. Every interview I've been asked for rankings an proof of your track record. I had to do this for Otsuka and got the job. It's up to you of you'd rather not bring your brag book and rankings, but I'm not sure if you'd get the job.

you are nuts. 99.9% of companies want proof of the bullshit you may speaking. some sort of report showing rankings, performance, etc. You must be hitting 60 and not have interviews for at least 10 years. this industry is shrinking, but performers should be able to find a job somewhere, if they can prove they are performers.

absolutely agree with this post....just got a Hospital offer (Samsca) and I had to prove everything...my current #, last 2 years of performance reviews, President Club rankings from the past.....proprietary data? ......whatever.... there is nothing on the spreadsheets I have shown that is proprietary. I was laid off so I don't give a rat's butt about proprietary data. I'll use what I have to land a new gig

pretty standard nowadays... fuckface? really? time to get out of the 80s

Don't waste your time. They don't want most qualified candidate. They only want to even out throwing a "finder fee" to the employee and/or manager that refers the candidate. You are just filler to be judged against. A great question for any future interviews witha DM and/or Rd would be, "are there any candidates that are referrals by current employees? That is the qualifing question. Unless the referral is a total loser, they will go with that candidate to throw the finder fee to the employee. Sounds like a good company, but the RD I interviewed with was a Pfizer clone and wasn't interested in the interview. That is ok, because I have spoken with both Pharmacy Directors at the two biggest accounts and they said they will not see the representative that was hired, because of a lack of credibilty. Sour grapes, you bet. Waste my time and I will return the favor...

I cannot believe how things have changed.. I blew the regional in the interview and still did not get the job. wtf. This always worked before! Now they want a blowjob and proof I can really sell -- unbelievable

I was not referred by an internal candidate.....I interviewed for the Abilify IM position but did not get it....they said I was better qualified for the Hospital AM position
