Next Round Of Layoffs.

I hope this is a tongue in cheek comment because when you seriously look at it, if Medicare were to change their mind on one product, they would have to reverse course on all of them.

The LCD has clear guideline for how to get a product approved. Apligraf and Dermagraft fulfilled those requirements.

PPAM does not have the data to gain approval.

Affinity has the RCT but not a TRG letter, a lot of question marks on whether Affinity would get approved for the TRG letter.

NuShield is the best shot to be added to the list when RCT is completed. But will be 2-3 quarters to get on the approved list.

I think Orgo will get PP on eventually and Nushield as well, but the loss of novachor and affinity is massive to their profitability.

Even if they get NuShield approved they would get a jaw dropping 4 applications.

the question is still how many people will be laid off?

I was in the layoffs in February in the Canton offices, a top performer in my department, my department was cut by salary, and they got rid of the most experienced people all of them were good performers.

companies that have covered product? So 40 something options in this segment of WC alone. Besides, a quarter of us have been slinging other ecms from distributors, so nothing new

those companies still lost the ability to apply 10 applications. They might not be hurting as bad as ORGO, but hurting none the less.

There are going to be a lot of skin sub reps looking for jobs.

Eh, those companies will just do more volume now to offset the 10 apps. Mimedx will lose because it’s not going to grow much in market share, but companies like S&N, Kerecis/Coloplast, Convatec will gain due to being large wound companies with broad portfolios outside of grafts that they can leverage

More volume in what?

End of the day there will be a reduced need for reps who sell skin subs in these markets.

Good luck to those who get the axe.
