Next acquisition

Bobby D was sent to ortho to clean it up, prune it a bit, make it look all pretty, so they can sell it off to help pay for the Codman acquisition. What people don't realize is that for Integra, a $1b acquisition is a bet the company acquisition. They have leveraged the company for this acquisition - meaning there won't be any more acquisitions for several years. Integra is going to be a wound care and neuro company. Period. Also if they fuck up this integration which they have done in the past for other much smaller acquisitions then it is lights out Integra.

Dude that is grossly exaggerated. Stryker acquired howe medica when it was twice its size. Relax. I believe there will be more acquisitions. Not a whole lot of synergy though with woundcare and neuro. Woundcare is a ducked up market

I think it is a good pick up for the Company to grow. I also am a believer Integra will ditch extremity metal, it's not profitable and it will continue to get less profitable. I don't understand this though; Bobby D must have had this in the works for a long time. Why did he not see it through, integrate Codman and then move to OTT. I'm confident when he turns the OTT Division around he will be the next CEO but the timing doesn't add up. Nuero seems like the better opportunity with this purchase so why did he leave or get asked to run OTT.
