New Virtual Call Metric Foolishness in CV

The rhetroic on virtual calls is total bullshit! The only way to get a a script is with Face to face calls,lunches,coffee,etc! I have never felt so much pressure to waste field time doing things that will Not Help me make my Numbers and will hurt my rank and bonus payout. Its insanity, and ALL the managers are whipped dogs begging us to please please please record virtual calls in veeva!

We need to start by cutting the management fat. The managers do very little, and as far as I can tell the directors do absolutely nothing. Why does AZ pay these people big bucks to have our managers harangue us to fill out meaningless spreadsheets and roll out silly, recycled ideas they call “exciting new strategies”? Seriously, do we even kind of need these people?

Virtual calls are easy and my manager loves how many I do. Holds me up as an example for others about what can be accomplished. It's not even that hard. I use a VPN app on my phone and just have virtual calls between my iPad and phone. I make sure to use different IP addresses for each office so that it doesn't look like all my virtual calls are to the same location. The VPN is probably not necessary but it's just one extra step to cover my tracks. I'm able to cover so many slides in my presentation. Coast to coast baby!

I know this screws over the honest reps but I'm on track to be promoted and in line for a management position. Play the game and you'll be rewarded as well.

I can't believe that they were bragging about all of the progress the CVMD team has made in omni channel and virtual interactions. Is management that out of touch? The only reason this has increased is because management is forcing it down our throats. I've had more docs opt out of veeva emails than ever before. I have less than fifty percent of my top docs that will still take a email. My manager is checking our calls and then what emails have been sent to those providers for follow up and how quickly did you do it. I keep hearing that we need to be strategic with these emails. The only thing strategic that's happening is I've lost the ability to email my top docs because they have all opted out. Sending these providers four emails a month has left a bad taste in their mouth. If I don't do it, I get put on the naughty list by my DSM and CBD. I love Pharma.
 




Don’t conform to this ridiculous metric. Be your own person and do what is right for your business. If they don’t like it then tough! It should be in writing somewhere. This expectation has only been verbal! They can’t make you lie or fire you for not sending an email to a doctor. This is absurd!
