It’s not the field’s ability to perform that’s the issue. If anything, productivity from the field is the highest it’s ever been at least in my region. The field is going to keep on cranking regardless of who’s steering the ship as long as the leadership doesn’t mess with the comp plan or make their lives miserable by wedging levels of management where it doesn’t belong. He’s tried and failed to monkey with the comp plans and so far backed off the most drastic changes fearing all out revolt. The second part however will be Ryan’s great undoing in my opinion. The numbers of utterly worthless executive hires under his watch that have alienated or outright driven out competent, productive people is nothing short of astounding. What is purpose of these people? They sure as hell aren’t helping me sell. It's an embarrassment to me and the company that I am asked to parade them around in front of customers. They add zero value. They don’t care to really understand what my customers need since they are so focused on their own agendas. Besides, with limited exceptions, they have no technical expertise, don’t understand the products, the company, its history or what we have to do to sell in the trenches.
