New Directors

Without regard to specific hormones, I'd simply say leadership still appears too heavy period. Still looks like a fair amount of waste going on in Merck's field sales division.

I see now why the "New" has been dropped. Notice that the country is sliced into 4 neat pieces (regions) with the same number of DCOs etc. per region. Next we will have the manager level with a new name but the same ole function and the same number per area. The roll out of this nonsense is scheduled for completion in March and my prediction is that they will begin work on the next reorganization by Dec 09.

fired - the west got desimated - buhrman, fired, schwarz, fired, morales, fired, duddy, fired, mckinney, fired, vaughn, fired, durwin, fired, did I miss anyone? oh yea, they bring in blackburn from the east to run phoenix, nice move.

The only survivors in the west were Krahe, Strombom and Monk. Everyone else is out.

What happened to Paul Cruz? Is he still in place or did he get displaced? Not sure how vaccines fit into the NCM- didn't see him listed as a DCO.

He is in the new MVID structure which is peds & OB. They are not under the 4 VPs nonsense. MVID is now those groups plus PSMs, AIMs and a few other areas that tablets do not get involved with.
There was no big shake up in the field for them, shake up is in WP.
Lucky them!!

Let me enlighten you how corporate America works: it was either get fired or quit, so he said, "Hmmm, I think I'll retire." Either way Merck got what they wanted, he's out.
not so quick on some of these retirees - some had a choice and didn't like the choices available - some had the opportunity to get a package to retire early and jumped on it - and some were as stated before about to get fired so they quit. It's not all bad for these guys and gals - I suspect the majority are hurtin' and would rather be with merck than retired or on the unemployment line.

come on... anyone with 1/2 a brain was JUBILANT that they got bridged to retirement, are you kidding me, thats the best deal going. You get out of the toxic and sure to be even more so - work environment and you get a sweet deal on retirement. you would have to be some kind of sadist not to take that and thank your lucky star.
