New contract with Janssen?

I didn't get that impression from the recruiter. But recruiter wouldn't tell me the base salary, made it sound like there was a range based on experience. Anyone else hear that?

Yes, they are still trying to figure out where the extra bodies need to be for this contract. Inventiv said they could fill it faster than Quintiles. Not sure this will be so? A lot of us managers at Quintiles are not sure how well this is going to go over. A few of the Janssen managers requested that their Quintiles people be protected and also have gone as far as to shut down those territories posted and place a rep from Quintiles if needed. Be careful what you are walking into. Contract is tough enough.....

Good luck to all, but I'm moving on from pharma....didn't get the call for this or past recent contracts...even though had worked previous contracts with company, had the experience..(accomplished pharm rep., award winner, district contest winner, good relationships with offices, blah, blah....like 1000 other reps)...

It may depend where you live. Some areas want more inexperienced reps if the Janssen reps are more experienced. That is what I had been told. My area is looking for 3 reps and they want one with just B2B and the other 2 with more experience.

Sorry to hear you did not get picked but it maybe a blessing in disguise. I got the impression there are just too many qualified reps competing for too few positions and did not want to spend days preparing, traveling and a whole day interviewing for a slight chance to get the job only to be guaranteed to be out of a job in three years..if that? I also thought brag books were kinda 1980s am i wrong?

I am looking ahead 10 years and want stability. It was and still is a good industry for some. I ail say the Ventiv recruiters were professional

There is no such thing as looking ahead 10 years and a stable environment in pharma. 3 years is an excellent contract given that many are only a year to year basis. I have the impression that they are only interviewing a few candidates for each territory. Why would they go to the expense of flying so many to just a few locations? Secondly, all drug screens and background checks to be done prior to the interview die to time frame which is yet another expense. Lastly, interview with regional manager the same day if you get moved forward. I am guessing offers immediately following. I don't think this is a cattle call folks...anyone know for sure the salary and if company car or car allowance?

Has anyone from Tennessee been contacted for a interview? I applied but haven't heard anything, just curious as to whether or not the ship has sailed or is there still hope.

inVentiv started doing interviews this way a few years back. They will fly in 3 candidates, you all interview on the same day, the manager picks one to go through to RM that afternoon/evening. Thumbs up - you got the job...thumbs down, they bring in more candidates (or one of previous) the next week. It's a fast and easy process, requires one day of travel/prep. It's all about getting in with the recruiter, they decide which 3 go. Good luck.

I have an interview scheduled for next week but I have not been contacted for drug screen or background check. When do they do this?
