Neuromodulation

C'mon, we may be number two in some markets. but never number three. BSC has that distinction claimed everywhere

You are an absolute idiot or just being a smart ass. I hope its smart ass. No better way to explain it. With no bias, these are the facts! You can look it up on the financial statements. MDT Neuromod even though losing share, still has the top share (I do not work for MDT - These are the facts). St Jude neuromod is #2 in share, and BSX is #3 in share. You do not have to be a genius to do the math here. Definitely means BSX is NOT #1 or #2 in most territories! Maybe some, but not most. If you are serious, you are a very good reason why reps get a bad rap. You are an absolute idiot!

Every one is so damn angry on this website. There seems to be very few intelligent or constructive comments. I came to this website seeking information and instead I found it to be a waste of time. I hope those seeking guidance look elsewhere and don't put too much weight into many of the comments posted. Good luck to everyone.

almost every post I just read is why I am so "done" with neruomodulation and "pain" in general. (I am a TM and we are 2nd in our region)
The doctors are shady, the reps are pressured to put the other devices in a bad light to get their's used. "ours is the best, their's is crap".
The poor patients are so odd and needy because of long term cronic pain, and often will say "yes" due to desperation and or addiction...

"Yes" is the only thing the management cares about

Looking forward to the day I am out. will enjoy the good money till find something else...

For those patients looking into neuromodulation therapy, please do alot of research. The trials may seems wonderful but what kind of representation do these companies provide after the sale? I have had the worst possible relationship with Boston Scientific in horrible support after the implant. From 2 battery replacements (apparently a bad lot) to paddle migration to calls and e-mails to my rep unanswered for months trying to get programming or some sort of relief. Even my calls and e-mails to corporate went unanswered. I finally had it completely removed and a ANS mini ion implanted. The communication between the remote and implant are not as streamlined as the precision plus with cords and all but when I have a question or concern, my ANS rep actually answers her phone and shows up for appointments. My back is a scarred up mess with all the procedures done trying to make the Boston Scientific crap work but finally am finally happy with the ANS system and recieving approximately 70% reduction in pain.

Congratulations on such good results. That is a major reduction, not just being on top of the pain. I have been a chronic spinie for 30 years. I had a trial with one of the Medtronic units 15 years ago and it was a complete failure. After eight spinal surgeries with cages & rods throughout the entire lumbar, I am at the end of my rope. My pain doc keeps vacillating over whether he wants to go with the pump or SCS. My spine is now like someone with bone cancer........or so the latest spinal surgeon says. No procedure is standard anymore. I have had spinal leaks and staph infections the last three surgeries and they were done by a big time ortho/neuro spinal tag team in a major teaching hospital. I have to do something as I am no longer safe to live alone the way I am. Not ready for a nursing home where I would be shoved into a nasty semi private room and kiss my privacy and dignity goodbye. I don't trust anyone in the medical field anymore except my pain doc. Nobody else has given me straight, honest answers w/o threatening to bring in an attorney. Again, congrats. on your good end results. May they stay that way.

Hey, idiot - tell me what "financial statements" you're looking at because Medtronic never shares their scs numbers exclusively. They always bury them within their neuromodulation numbers in total.

It sucks. Then you realize you work for the company with the worst products without question. Then it sucks more. And yes, I work for one of the other companies. Mdt and Sjm reps will go from one to the other but never to Boston. Adding electrodes won't help either stupids but maybe you can hire some more idiots who can continue to ruin the therapy for those of us who can actually sell.

BSC's new 32 channel stimulator looks good. I would expect that to take some share from a suffering Medtronic and St Jude.

Lots of options with 32 channels.

Pricing is always an issue, but I still think they can sell it at a slight premium.

Could someone please tell me what expected comp would be for a field marketing specialist and if this is a good role. Interviewing for position in Albany, NY this week. Is the sales team in Albany any good. Thank you for any honest feedback.
