"Managers" (HA !!) who are intellectually dull, insecure, greedy, and just plain nasty are more comfortable with idiots and sycophants around them. They find this type of individual predictable and non-threatening. It's simply bad genetics in real-time !
The squeaky wheel gets replaced, not oiled. Makes sense...and thus some of the cause for the sad state of this miserable industry.
