Yes, I am a HUGE Michigan FAN! My dad and 2 brothers are alums and hardcore fans. I was almost made to go to MI, but convinced my dad that ASU was better for me. And that is why I also hate Michigan St. And Yes, my family hails from MI, Bloomfield Hills, a little suburb of Detroit. And actually there are some beautiful parts of MI that I really like-- Like Macinaw and the Upper Peninsula.
My family all moved to Phoenix many years ago to escape those cold, depressing MI winters, worst weather in the country. And yes many Michiganers have second homes down south mostly FL, or are moving south/ west. On a sad note--I was there 2 years ago for a month touring the state, and it is really sad what has happened, declining population, most of Detroit looks like a war zone.
I saw the Eminem interview. I like him too- love his music.

So, that's why you hate State. I will give your Yellow and Blue props, they looked very good Saturday night. I escaped 4 1/2 years ago. You can have Mackinac Island though. Overpriced, and too much Horseshit. I prefer the Lake Michigan Shoreline, especially Traverse City and Petoskey.

We went to a family reunion at Crystal Lake, near Beulah, MI -- we landed in Grand Rapids and drove. The lake was spectacular.

Used to rent a condo in Frankfort every summer, right on the beach DD, when my kids were small. It was always a lot of fun.
