Here's hoping that this week is better than my first two!

I respect both your persistance and your courage to come back for Week #4, Breaking.

That says a lot about you.

I hope you kick butt.

LSU sucks dogcrap.

No way should they be ranked in the top 15.

This is what happens when these so-called powerhouses are allowed to play 3 or 4 pansy teams in the beginning of the season. It's impossible to tell how good or bad they are.

If Auburn can hold them to 12 points and almost beat them - we are talking a very very mediocre team. Nothing close to what they were advertised to be.

Enough with these early season power puff schedules for the big named teams. Make them play good teams from the start so we can determine where they really belong in the rankings!

IMO Oregon and Alabama should be tied for the #1 ranking right now.

My opinion might change after I watch Alabama play Mizzou in 2 weeks and Oregon play Arizona State in 3 weeks.

Only then will I be able to definitely state who should be #1 and #2.

Otherwise, it's too close to call. Both teams are equal right now IMO.

Watching Oregon play Arizona tonight I can say with certainty that I have never seen a quicker team, a more disciplined team and a team in better physical condition than Oregon. That no huddle offense and the number of plays Oregon runs in a game is like watching a machine in motion. Incredible. I would also say that the Oregon coach matches Coach Sabin in leadership skills and the ability to produce excellent players who truly work together as a unit.

Oregon is a very quick "fun and gun," spread offensive team. I have heard and seen this story over and over again. Arizona doesn't have a defense worth a damn. I would like to see Oregon match up against a very strong defensive team like Bama but I saw that game last year when LSU beat the hell out of them. These flashy offensives are fun to watch but are not very practical against defensive powerhouse teams. The old adage "the best offensive is a strong defense," is what works every time in College Football.

Auburn played the game of their life last night. LSU and Mettenburger in particular definitely had some issues on the road. I think LSU will improve but they have a tough road ahead of them with a road game at Florida then playing South Carolina back to back.

Even after week four I still don't see one totally complete dominating team in College Football. BAMA still has competitive games coming up but I don't know how competitive those games are going to be. Mizzzou's starting QB is still out and Akron made things uncomfortable for Tennessee at home. Even UAB (GO BLAZERS) laid 15 points on Ohio State yesterday!

Okay, I did a recalculation on the first 3 weeks. There were some errors.

I am not betting my life that my recalculation is 100% accurate, although I did the best I could to sort things out.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR INDIVIDUAL SCORES TO DETERMINE 100% ACCURACY AND MAKE YOUR CASE IF THERE CONTINUES TO BE AN INCORRECT SCORE

Note that in Week #1 you won Pick #5 (Syracuse vs. Northwestern) whichever way you picked since Syracuse lost by 1 point and was the underdog by a 1 point spread.

As shown below: THROUGH WEEK #3: Week #1 ( ); Week #2 ( ); Week #3 ( )

*******************************************************************

Tinkrbelle: (8-4) + (7-5) + (8-2) = (23-11)

Pale Horse: (7-5) + (4-8) + (6-4) = 17-17)

BroncoBoy: (3-9) + (4-8) + 6-4) = (13-21)

Fucktard: (7-1) + (4-8) + (3-5) = (14-14) Note: Did not play all games.

BamaBoy: (7-5) + (4-8) + (2-8) = (13-21)

Breaking News: (NP) + (2-10) + (3-7) = (5-17) Note: Missed 1 entire week of play.

Night Train Lane: (NP) + (NP) + (2-8) = (2-8) Note: Missed 2 entire weeks of play.

White Trash: (NP) + (NP) + (NP) = (0-0) Note: First week of play was Week #4.

********************************************************************

That should bring us up to date on the first 3 weeks of play.

Let me know if you find any discrepancies.

Bronco

Sorry, Bama. Your team hasn't really been tested yet this year either to be quite honest. Alabama has mostly played powder puffs. Teams that play powder puffs shouldn't be able to label themselves as the best in the nation. LSU proved that last night.

All ranked in the Top 10 AP pre-season should be forced to play at least TWO other ranked teams in their first 4 games.

You're wrong about Arizona's defense. Arizona actually played good defensive game in the 1st half with the halftime score of 13-0 allowing only ONE Oregon TD. The defense became demoralized in the 2nd half when the Arizona offense couldn't do shit - and the Oregon no huddle offense wore them down. That is what Oregon does. Wears their opponents down in 2nd half play. Oregon would kick LSU's ass this year. LSU looked pathetic last night. LSU shouldn't even be ranked in the top 20. Auburn didn't look great. LSU just looked like shit. And that's the truth.

Giving teams that play powder puffs #1-#2 rankings is bullshit. It needs to end.

Oregon played great last night, agree about how quick their running game is.
I don't see a strong dominating team yet either.

I am in agreement with your analysis here. AZ and LSU looked pathetic yesterday.

WEEK 4 NCAA FOOTBALL PICK EM FINAL

1. BRONCO BOY!! (8-4)

2. BAMABOY (5-7) Tinkrbelle (5-6) Breaking News (5-6) Fucktard (5-5)

3. White Trash (2-9)

Thanks for playing everyone! I missed Pale Horse's picks this week. Hopefully he will come around next week with Night Train.

Not according to my analysis, BamaBoy.

Bronco is 7-5. I missed the Boise, Mizzou, LSU, FSU and Oregon games.

By her own admission in an earlier post Tinkrbelle is 4-7.

The others are correct as far as I can tell.

Leaderboard will be up soon.

Leaderboard through Week #4

Note: I will add 'Percent of Correct Picks) which is just correct picks/total picks. I thought it might be helpful in gauging your progress.

(Cumulative through Week #3) + (Week #4) = TOTAL (percent of correct picks)

1. TINKRBELLE: (23-11) + (4-7) = 27-18 (60%)

2. FUCKTARD: (14-14) + (5-5) = (19-19) (50%)

3. PALE HORSE: (17-17) + (NP) = (17-17) (50%)

4. BRONCOBOY: (13-21) + (7-5) = (20-26) (43.5%)

5. BAMABOY: (13-21) + (5-7) = (18-28) (39.1%)

6. BREAKING NEWS: (5-17) + 5-6 = (10-23) (30.3%)

7. NIGHT TRAIN LANE: (2-8) + NP = (2-8) (25%)

8. WHITE TRASH: (NP) + (2-9) = (2-9) (22.2%)

Those with lower scores please don't get discouraged! This is only a damn game for pure fun and enjoyment! Two good weeks and you could be breathing down Tinkrbelle's neck! Compete against yourselves - not against the other pickers. Do your research and bring your percentages up each week! That's the goal.

Congrats to Tinkrbelle, Fucktard and Pale Horse for hitting at least a 50% average. That's not easy to do.

Thanks for playing, White Trash. You've learned that picking games is not an easy task. Each game takes some serious thought. See you next week!

Night Train Lane - Where are you? You didn't cave on us, did ya?

Pale Horse - You are one of the leaders on the board. We expect you back in Week #5.
