NCAA FOOTBALL 2012 Leader Board

1. Tinkrbelle (21-13)

2. Pale Horse (16-18)

3. BroncoBoy (14-20)

4.Fucktard (13-15)

5. BAMABOY (12-22)

6. Breaking News (5-17)

7. Night Train Lane (2-10)

SUMMARIZED RULES:

1) Pickers who elect to remain anonymous are welcome, but must adopt an unregistered sport's board name (ie. BroncoBoy) to get due recognition for your picks. Please identify yourself with each post.

2) During regular season play all picks will be based on the "odds" or the "point" system reported by USA Today (SportsDirect) prior to the week's games. The "points" recognized will be the "points" displayed on posted "Pick-Em" schedule that will available for viewing 3-4 days in advance of the week's games. Should the "point" spreads change after the "Pick-Em" schedule is posted - the revised "points" shall not apply.

3) A player may change his pick selection at any point prior to game time with the original point spead

4) Not all NCAA Div. 1 games will make the weekly "Pick-Em" schedule. Only those major games of interest. We are going for quality here. Not quantity. Games with a 21 "point" spread or greater are highly discouraged. If a picker wants to add an unlisted game contact the interim coordinator BroncoBoy.

5) All pickers shall show respect and courtesy toward their fellow pickers. A competitive spirit is fine. But let's keep it clean and be friends. We don't want to evolve into vitriol and mean spiritness that got the poli board shut down. Be nice to one another.

6) In the event of a board dispute on operational matters - all disputes will be resolved by the majority. There are no kings or queens on this board who have the final say. We are a democracy - and the majority rules. If the majority is only 2 people - so be it.

7) Post-season play (bowl games) shall be based on straight picks and NOT the "point" system used during regular season play.

THURSDAY NIGHT GAME THIS WEEK!!! Please make your pick for the BYU Vs. Boise State game tomorrow night. If you make your pick for tomorrow night's game don't forget to include it for your final Saturday Picks. Thanks!

Wow. That Boise game on the board put Bronco between a rock and a hard place. Sure, Boise's offense looked better last week but look who they played. Miami of Ohio. After BYU's piss poor performance last week against Utah they are going to be hyped to beat Boise. BYU has a good team when they're hitting on all cylinders. But Boise is only giving away 6.5 pts. I want to pick Boise but I can't afford to toss a game down the crapper either @ 13-21. Oh well, I'll sleep on it and let you know where I stand tomorrow. You sure know how to cause a guy indigestion, BamaBoy.

BamaBoy -

In the last 3 weeks we've picked a total of 34 games.

Why do you show a total of 36 (12-24) for your score?

Thanks for catching that and double checking. I think where I screwed up is when I did the first leader board after week 1 in the week 2 thread. I did not include the final numbers after the Monday Night Virginia Tech Vs. GA Tech game. Give me some time and I will properly update the leader board.

Bronco is finally starting to crawl out of the cellar but needs some big wins in Week #4 to build momentum. Few easy picks tho on the board.

Thurs, 9/20

1. BYU vs BOISE ST. -6.5 [I struggled with this one. But Boise won out. If Boise's offense plays like last week it should be an easy win at home beating the spread. But Miami of OH wasn't much of a challenge. If this was played in Utah I would go with BYU. I can trust Boise's defense. Not their offense. But BYU needs a win after last week's embarrassing loss to Utah]

Sat, 9/22

2. Virginia vs. TCU -17 [Virginia barely beat Penn St and lost to Ga Tech by 36. TCU is a mean machine with QB Pachall. 84% completion rate. TCU creams Virginia at home]

3. Miami vs. Ga. Tech. -14.5 [Tech wins by not by over 2 TD's. Miami is not a bad team]

4. Oregon St. vs. UCLA -7.5 [This will be a great game. I think Oregon St. wins outright. It will be a battle between UCLA's offense and Oregon St's defense. I bet that Oregon St. wins that battle. That is taking nothing away from UCLA's Coach Mora. He has done a dynamite job by bringing UCLA back to life]

5. Mizzou vs. So. Carolina -10 [SC hasn't played a decent team yet. I don't think they're as good as hyped. Mizzou looked good against Az St. SC does not beat the spread here]

6. Cal vs. USC -16.5 [USC comes back strong after losing to Stanford. Cal is a good team. But not good enough to stop USC at home]

7. LSU vs. Auburn +20.5 [Auburn is a shit team. Only beat UL Monroe by 3. If LSU can't beat Auburn by 3 TD's or more they don't deserve to be in the top 5 AP]

8. Rutgers vs. Arkansass -7 [Cracks me up that Arkansass is the favorite here. Rutgers is 3-0 with a win over So. Florida. Arkansass gets embarrassed at home again]

9. Michigan vs. Notre Dame -4.5 [Point spread way too low. ND will kick ass at home and knock Michigan out of the top 30 AP]

10. Kansas St. vs. Oklahoma -14 [I think Oklahoma is way overrated. They've played loser teams so far. Kansas St. is their first real competition. I think they get embarrassed at home and no way beat the spread]

11. Clemson vs. FSU -14.5 [Neither team has really been tested yet but I have to go with FSU, especially at home. FSU will shine in 2012]

12. Arizona vs. Oregon -23 [Oregon wins. But not by 24 or more points. Arizona is no pansy. They beat Oklahoma St by over 20 points! Arizona will put up a good fight in enemy territory]

And good luck to all!

I hope there are some other folks who want to make there pick for the BYU Vs. Boise Sate game?

BAMABOY PICK:

BOISE STATE -6.5

I am too late for tonight's game.

SATURDAY SEPT. 22nd

2. VIRGINIA Vs. TCU -17

3. MIAMI VS. GA TECH -14.5

4. OREGON STATE VS. UCLA -7.5

5. MIZZOU VS. SOUTH CAROLINA -10

6. CAL VS. USC -16.5 (Can LAME KITTEN and USC "Fight On?") Yes-- and I will be there Rooting for Trojans.

7. LSU VS. AUBURN +20.5 (GEAUX TIGAHS!)

8. RUTGERS VS. ARKANSAS -7

9. MICHIGAN VS. NOTRE DAME -4.5 (Will the luck of the Irish keep on going?)

10. KANSAS STATE VS. OKLAHOMA -14

11. CLEMSON VS. FSU -14.5 (Will the semen-holes take care of business?)

12. ARIZONA VS. OREGON -23 (late night game for the hell of it!)I think the Ducks better beat the spread.

Ok Bronco. I have edited the leader board and I am fairly confidant that it is correct. I am (12-22). I do want to be precise so I have you actually going (14-20) for the season because you are:

Week 1 (4-8)

Week 2 (4-8)

Week 3 (6-4)

Is is this right? Just let me know..

10. KANSAS STATE VS. OKLAHOMA -14

11. CLEMSON VS. FSU -14.5 (Will the semen-holes take care of business?) Clemson does not have much a defense. I think West Virginia just scored another touch down?! FSU has a cake walk schedule in the ACC.

No. That's not right, Bama.

If you need some help with the leaderboard I volunteer to keep track. I know that posting the schedules and scoring might be too much for one person.

Let me know if you want me to score the leaderboard from now on.

What a pathetic fing game BYU-Boise was. Neither of those teams deserve to be ranked in the top 50. Both offenses suck. It was embarrassing to watch that game on national TV.

Boise had the ball in the red zone at least 6 times and couldn't score once. Their defense won the game with an TD interception. Their only score. heh. Coach Peterson needs to dump QB Southwick. He's worthless. The Boise defense fell on a BYU fumble on the BYU 1 fing yard line and in 4 plays the offense failed to take it into the end zone. Last year's Boise team would have put 50 points on the board. It's fing sad with such great teams for the last 4 years that Boise can recruit quality players. Whoever runs their recruitment program needs to get fired.

I couldn't fing believe when it was 4th down and 3 for Boise on the Boise 25 yard line in the 1st qrt. with a 0-0 score when Coach Peterson opted to fake the punt and got stuffed. WTF was he thinking??? Was he drinking potato alcohol before the game? Luckily the Boise defense was able to hold the BYU offense scoreless on the next series.

And WTF was the BYU coach thinking when BYU scored a TD after a 90 yard drive w/4 minutes on the clock in the 4th qrt WITH NO TIME OUTS @ 7-6 and he shot his wad and opted to go for 2. The Boise defense stuffed 'em. What a terribly dumb ass decision that was. The SLC mormons must be livid tonight.

That was not a quality football game. And I'm pissed because Boise wasn't able to cover the spread and gave me a L on my pick.

I predict that Boise gets beat by Fresno and Nevada for sure this year. And possibly by San Diego St.

Peterson needs to recruit a QB and some big ass farmboy offensive linemen to save his team. But the defense deserves a 'Standing O'.

Sure I definitely need some help with this. Sometimes I am rushed to get all of this posted then checking people's picks. What week of yours did I get wrong? Week 1, 2 or 3?

Boise has done well during the past 4 years but I don't think any program can continue to play at such a high level every year. Peterson needs a major player who can play in that type of spread offense. The downfall with the spread is that you need a really good QB and can't rely as much on your running game.

Just look at Auburn before Cam (8-5) and after Cam (8-5). Auburn sucks so bad now because they have a new Offensive Coordinator. The guy is trying to install a Pro-Style Offense with a spread style QB who was recruited by the former Offensive Coordinator-Gus Malzahn.

Very successful spread style QB's are few and far between. Teams can't go half way with the spread they have to go balls deep...

Pick Em Team,

Have you noticed that our little weekly Pick Em gets about 1,500 views per week? Just look at the number of views in the rest of the sports talk threads. That ain't too bad?

Howdy, White Trash!

Pick 'Em is an equal opportunity board contest. All are welcomed with open arms. Even white trash! :D

We pickers don't discriminate based on gender, racial origin, creed, color, economic status, political affiliations, sexual preferences, religion, body shape, personal hygiene or the size of your genitals.

All we do is look at your final score at the end of the week and draw our own conclusions.

No picker has had a perfect pick yet in 3 seasons. That honor is still up for grabs. Show us what you got!

Welcome to Week #4. Better late than never.

Welcome White Trash! Thanks for playing this week. You have some very interesting picks for this week so I am glad you joined us. Good Luck!
