Morale

wow what a drop in stock price...the get rich quick plan for company leaders has crumbled...they never wanted feedback from the field just sell product and shut up...as an earlier post said...greed will be their downfall.

new to this board but have a few constructive suggestions

1.turn most rbms into "boots on the ground" aka RAMs
2 make bonus plan attainable (PCP reps in areamake more than our RAMs (this company acts like a startup vitamin company) and yes it is not just me (or the other posts on this board that feel this way)...we take the chance and come on an tell you..EVERONE feels this way.....you promised training bonus ..never recieved.....you WAY overprojected patient population and now you are seeing the results..now that your stock has tanked maybe you will understand how we feel
3.you assume that you know what is going on in the field...you never work with or communicate to the quintiles people...
4. bring in a REAL leader...when there is conflict between marketing, sales, reimbursement, product access who resolves it? it festers and instead of working as a team it results in finger pointing and bad blood between people who should be working together...A CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF POOR LEADERSHIP..
5. you may have had ideas of selling the company and moving on...from what we see now that probably will not happen so circle the wagons get some leadership and start over..

Good points. i think it's too late for all of this. between corrupt & dishonest management (yes we all know, you don't hide it well) and a drug that doesn't work and carries serious sideeffects its too late. pity because the field team is talented. and sad to see the constant finger pointing at the sales team instead of working as a team. Can't wait for another response to this post. it should go something like "go leave you piece of turd or dead weight". don't worry guys that maybe the best idea you gave us, we are all trying....

I was just contacted for an opening here, can I get some honest answers what it is like here and what the product is like?

Read this whole thread. Ciba was great company when Novartis bought them, they dismantled their pharma and any bundled business and tore it apart, and screwed the pooch. Those sitting around the swiss lake have no clue how to run or grow a specialty business alcon will never be the same - funny what a great job swiss Nestle did managing alcon with their hands-off huge success Schollmeyer, Sear, Rayment, wow well done history will be kind to each, Buehler on the other hand owns the current mess sorry Kevin you get the restrooms named after you - funny that the model also exists in JnJ for standalone speciality co's - very successful model - Novartis model not so much

Speak English, wtf does this mean. I was told your drug is a joke, I was told to stay far far far away but it's hard to turn down the salary...can I get dinner honest answers here

the company is in bad shape...you need to look at the website and make an informed decision If you need a job and have no other prospects then you have no choice but if you have a job I would RUN the other way...the salary is good..you are correct.... but you will not make a decent bonus because the expectations are delusional...
I hope this helps you. All the sales people were excited about this when we first joined the company...it has turned into a nightmare..

This company is in really bad shape. The only thing that is keeping it afloat is the cash they have from Alcon. Salary is good but there's no equity in the company, no leadership, lack of communication, lots of finger pointing, and no accountability.

The sentiment of most of the sales and reimbursement people is RUN. Pursue the position only if you absolutely need a job.
The senior management here is lack-luster and the shit rolls downhill.

Talk to some retina specialists about the drug. Talk to reps who worked under sales manager at other companies-you can get this from LinkedIn, check the managed care situation, and then the financials- this is public info. If you can find someone (retina doc) who attended the Toronto meeting a couple weeks ago, talk to them about the consensus on the drug-.hint- this is a retina drug that is not being supported by retina docs or managed care. Success rate is very low, will patients pay high cost when probability of surgery is so high because of poor success rate of drug? Only drug. Sales manager good, but will talk around the issues to get you on board in an attempt to stop the bleeding. Risky. Don't leave a job for this. If you are unemployed with no offer in sight, go for it but continue interviewing as you WILL be looking for an out soon.

in short you will work for Quintiles with the promise of coming on board with TG...which will never happen...
TG employees have an equity position aka stock options in the company...quintiles employees were told that if they wanted stock to buy it from their broker...remember, in the beginning this company held promise and they did not even have the decency to offer us a discount purchase...
TG employees have 3 month severence if this all goes away...there is NOTHING in the quintiles contract for us....would be lucky to get 2 weeks
TG has vested 401K Quintiles is not immediately vested just check your statement.
TG thinks that the reason the numbers are not there is because of the sales team...if you know anyone that is a RBM or RAM just call them...they will tell you the real reason.

The Quintiles people are treated with total disrespect and blamed for issues that are clearly the result of extremely poor leadership on both sides of the pond.

Lol, oh man I guess I should have done more research before accepting this job....Yes I was blinded by the 6 figure salary and I left a decent job to come here. Am I screwed?
