Factually, I never disagreed with you. You mentioned accountability, and I asked a very simple question. One which you ignore repeatedly while rambling about connecting with the people, drinking coffee, and three question surveys.
Let's try again. One very simple question:
When was the last time BSX CDRM met the yearly number and should senior management be held accountable just as MS was? (Actually, 2 questions)
I'm guessing the last time CDRM made it's number was 2004.
I believe it is most important that the sales team is held accountable for the number at every level. From my perspective as a sales rep it seems the rep turnover rate due to underperformance is appropriate. Some RM's seem to perpetually fail yet keep their jobs, and failure at the Director and DVP level rarely results in termination for poor performance.
So, the folks with the most responsibility for the numbers (VP, DVP, Director) manage to keep there jobs as they failure year after year to deliver their numbers. Just like sales reps, if they fail to deliver they should be gone!
