Medtronic to put UPI out of business with Advanced Uro-Solutions?

Any idiot is better than what we have here. With RK err DH at the helm and his cast of BCS reject managers, anything has to be better.

RK believes in "command & control." That is his management style, you should know that by now. And like an old dog, he is not going to learn new ways of managing. Some can tolerate such management style, some blossom in it, and others like you get frustrated. So get used to it, and if you do not like it here, find another home. By the way, if you are so frustrated with RK and, his side kick, DH, why have you stuck around for this long?
 




Who knows for sure, but the AUA is right around the corner. I would not be surprised if they launched there. If you look on their web site they have positions available for a noninvasive urology division. Uroplasty er Cogentix your days are numbered!!!!

We will find out about the Nuro, just like we found out about the Allergan co-pay assistance program. When one of us runs into it in the field. Upper management knows more about the nuro than they are telling us, why do you think the pressure to sell endosheath.
 




















I met one of the managers for NURO at AUA. He was a decent guy but mentioned an "aggressive approach to the market" when they actually do launch. Never said anything about October. Hang on!!!!!!

did Medtronic show the Nuro or did they have it behind the scenes at AUA? They have managers in place and job postings went up on 5/7 on their website, they have to be closer to launch than October.
 








WAKE UP!!!! Yes I agree with you that PTNS is growing and that Medtronic will increase awareness, but what makes you think that your territory will not be impacted. Go to www.theNURO.com. Read the bullet points. NO INITIAL INVESTMENT, SIMPLE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, ON DEMAND ONLINE, ELIMINATES THE RISK OF FINANCIAL LOSS DUE TO PAYER DENIALS.
Why would any physician use UPC, when they have to buy leads and the stimulator up front, risk loss due to denials and pay $65 for a lead. I'm not sure what Medtronic will charge per credit or for the grounding pad, but I can guarantee you it will be way south of $65. The only issue that will be the same is getting the patient to come in for 12 consecutive weeks.

Sell Urology Minimally Invasive Therapy device(s) for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff; partner with strategic ALF/ILF centers to develop the account practice through; providing product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at strategic management and analysis of sales trends; utilization of appropriate Neuro business partners to present marketing and business plans to accounts for territory development and growth. Other activities as they arise, as assigned by the sales leadership.
Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor degree and 2 years of medical sales experience to include biotech and pharma.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

•Solid knowledge of the Reimbursement climate
•Experience call on physicians in one or more of the following or related referral accounts – Neurology, Physiatrist, Oncology, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care Physician/GP

Guess what, MDT makes a ton of money on the interstim, so that they can afford to practically give away for free the NURO and more than make up for it by generating an additional interstim sale every once in a while. So let us be honest in our assessment of what this will do Cogentix. How long do you think Cogentix will survive this blitz attack? It would be like Cogentix defending with the only weapon it has, a bayonet, against an enemy attacking with armored tanks and attack helicopters. How long do you think such a battle will last?

I left the company because I couldn't take this kind of shit from our commanders.

There are a lot of sales reps that do not like what management is doing to counter the MDT threat and are looking for other opportunities. It's not that easy to just leave. Let's be real, there is competition in the world, but most of it is fairly even if more than one product survives. However, when one is old and more expensive that company usually goes under. MDT will destroy Urgent PC, because they can. Cogentix can not survive on MPQ and endosheath. It's that simple.
