As a buyer in the DME/HH market, I'm finally at my wit's end of the crap I've seen happening at Medline, the value they hold for their higher profit margin low volume dealers, and the value Medline holds (sarcasm) for dealer and consumer satisfaction. I'm happily walking away. I was actually searching Google on any complaints I could find from fellow dealers and came across this thread. My first cue when I got my last promotion that I should have kicked Medline out then was the high turnover of reps and/or the long periods of time of NO reps. Kudos to those that have left, good luck to those who feel it's such a great place to be. Really what that does is speak volumes on your own integrity and values in a market where our ultimate end goals should be for the benefit of the end users.

Odds this is actually a buyer? .0001%

I fail to understand why the poster's position as a reselling DME buyer is in question. Nothing, other than the odd reference to a 'promotion', is out of place.
It is also not hard to imagine a disgruntled resller. Medline traditionally mistreats dealers by taking business direct.
Please consider that 'Customer Service' in today's Mundelein is Rep driven. If the Rep wants to pay for correcting a mistake, regardless of fault, they can. It seems plausible that this individual's Rep(s) grew tired of paying.

I know how bad Medline Sales Management treated their Reps in the past, but it has been a while since I have spoken to anyone who would or could express an opinion on current conditions.

Have things improved, stayed the same, or, if possible, worsened for the field reps?

Now that "winner winner chicken dinner" man is gone things are better in the division.

I happen to concur with the Post "Medline Sux" and would also like to add that I was a good rep that increased sales in an underdeveloping area year after year. My manager moved me 3x in two years, every time I grew sales he moved me. Finally he cheated me out of $100, 000 in commissions and a trip for 2 to Paris while my Dad had cancer and my house was up for sale (by firing me). I lost my commissions, my trip and a job I loved. Medline does not only Suck, it Steals from hard working employees. Here's the kicker - he did the same thing to another employee 2 years prior who also was a good rep. Someone stop this manager! He is overextended with bad house deals, has a daughter in med school and cheats his reps to make up for the difference. Coward, Liar, Cheat!

Why do people make these posts without naming the person? Is it not true and they're afraid of a slander lawsuit??

Must be nice working for a manufacturer, distributed who walks into MM, asks for a spread sheet of products, and then drops equivalent commodities by 20 percent. That is real selling you bunch of worthless aholes b
