Mark S gone?

If they bring someone from the outside who has good experience, this could be a very good thing. Mark was trained by Bradley and never really adapted to the additional responsibilities of a bigger company. I have worked for better Sales VPs and know that it can be better than it has been.

You must be new, Nycomed mgmt will screw it up again.

A ton more downside and disagree MS did adapt well. He brought over alot. PD prior to the merge was a small division. Who do you think made us a bigger player. Remember he also had 5 different bosses in that time. That is brutal. I have worked for 3 other companies prior to this and I can tell you MS had more charisma, smarts and presence about him that any of them. He was a true reps VP. Im surprised there is some negative stuff on here (has to be just one or two) because the calls I have received from reps (and there has been atleast 20) have all been positive and they are very upset MS is gone. Trust me many of us will be out of jobs. So for those few people who are being negative karma is a bitch because many reps will be out of jobs soon. What happened Thursday was the start of alot of change. Change for the worse. There will be new DMs trust me on that and with new DMs come new reps. I anticipate many reps being replaced and many more exiting because of MS being let go. Its just sad

The proof will be in the pudding and if you think layoffs another optimization and a new Vp hand picked by JB and BM is better than you are right. I have been here along time and this was the worst thing that could have happened to anybody in this company who has sales in their title. I personally will miss MS he was a good leader and genuinely liked the reps and was an advocate for us. I agree with the last poster all the calls I am receiving are calls supporting MS so these few nagative comments must be coming from just a few. Can not wait till they are found out because trust me you can be

You are wrong what do you think they said hey MS you keep your job if you do an optimization. No sales mgmt was first analyzed the best people kept and then the remaining DMs and MS went through the process . Honestly people take it from an insider MS was evaluated just like all the DMs and RDs. He made it through the cut but went through the entire process. He didnt screw anyone over thats what an optimization is you move people around and cut. He survived his part and then went through the process. This is not speculation these are the FACTS. So please dont assume and say you know what you are talking about because you dont. MS didnt screw anyone over. In fact i personally remember how hard he took it during the optimization. Just wait the fw on here who are negative your day will come. As for the people who really know MS we stand by him. He didnt last for 17 years for nothing. The guy is good and the people who knew him all agree

There was no illusion he was genuine. You were right only about one thing he was a good guy. Name me one person that does not look out for themselves. Remember everyone dont throw stones in a glass house. If any of you got to be a VP someday I think you would act as if too. You do not get to where he was without knowing a thing or two. He has alot of friends in the industry and he is well liked. I worked a convention with MS one time and I was amazed at the number of reps who used to work for him (some downsized some not) who came up to him to say hello and see how he was. That also tells me something. He has a good following.

But those who are painting him out as a saint are forgetting that in order to become a VP, the best of people have to compromise their ethics...if they have any. MS did that, so stop painting him out as a victim. He played the power/political game, sold out everyone to get what he wanted and lost. Time to move on.

MS sold no one out. He did his job and tried to survive like anybody would. Surving in this place is brutal. So many politics and back stabbers. As for the last poster if you say all VP's do that than he would be no different. No better no worse. So I disagree with any of the negative remarks. Its just ashame that they can get away with all this. In speaking for the many reps who I have spoken to all the other cuts were just names MS however was a part of us and take it from someone who worked with him for years he did more for the reps than many people even know. He did many selfless acts that dont appear on a board. I know for a fact he helped many reps out outside of work whether it be personal or professional issues.

He was no victim and for those of us who used to work for him, he was quick to sell anyone out to save himself. Don't be fooled that he had anyones best interest other than his own and maybe a few of his Bradley buddies.
