lying about pay

Do you honestly believe it is even possible to sell (13) 1.5 million dollar robots in a single territory in 12 months? If you believe that lie then there is a bigger problem to worry about. The culture is terrible. The managers are young, super aggressive, and very inexperienced managers. They promote a few of the reps who are left standing and none of them have previous management training or skills. They live each day only to make your day miserable.

Most CSR's never make quota. They quit or are let go within the first year. In an expensive business such as this, that is not enough time to ramp up a funnel. It is impossible to bring on the required number of new surgeons because it takes a lot of time and effort to engage the docs into embracing and learning this new, expensive skill set.

Beware of HR. They have a ridiculous recruiter. His name is Marshall Coyle. He will call you and purposely catch you off guard and start interviewing you on the spot without calling to set up a time for a phone interview. Pretty shady tactics. Any reputable company that has a good culture would never treat potential candidates in such a manner. Think twice before you go any further with Intuitive.

Hey Deepsea faggot,

Did you ever think that maybe they fired you because you are a whiny little bitch? Just something to consider dog. Most of us are out here hustlin, converting docs and cashing checks. Don't hate us because we're pretty, and don't ever get behind the wheel of a ride you could never drive to begin with.

to the last poster . DUDE GET A GRIP , Yeah i agree with you about the deepsea guy , BUT YOU SOUND EVEN WORSE> who cares what you drive ......
But when you have a little Johnnnson like you do you need to let every one know with the auto(pen$#) extension.
Funny thing is I drive a beat up what ever for work, and choose between my convertible 6 series BMW, or porsche when I play.
NO I don't work for intuitive, but had to chime in for the punk who said he is pretty , and what he drives.

i just have to say

the Intuitive rep who say's he's is pretty and is hustlin is delusional.

Give us a break man.

Who cares? ooooooo you made 210k last year, and this year, your f@(#*$ fired.

Get ready, Intuitive's gonna crap you out like the rest of them.

I hope you keep your cool car for 10 years, cause you'll probably lose your job in the next year or so.

Keep hustlin pretty boy, when you need a job you can put, Hustlin or your resume.

Save your money, you may need it.

Agreed....save your money d-bag. You probably laugh at a basketball player/rapper who blows all his money on stupid sh!t but don't realize you're doing the same thing...but with $200K/year it shouldn't take too long.

Post in 5 years when you're in the exact same financial situation as now, not a dime in the bank, and rolling in your busted up Range Rover. Then tell me that your crippling mortgage is "good debt".

Everyone seems impressed with you pretty boy...keep up the good work.

How's the Michigan market? I noticed some job openings as Clinical Specialists. Are surgeons really open to learning this new technology? Are the surgeons responsible for paying for their own training? How long is surgeon training? are you there w/ them? (sorry, for all the Q's but just curious)

Overall is this a good opp. if you are already in ortho sales?

I see commercials ALL DAY about these damn robots in some of these hospitals around here just wanted to see if it's worth the jump and i'm left wondering how many cases does it take to hit quota.....

thanks guys and gals.

I just got a call from some guy in San Francisco about Clinical Specialist, I have a ton of device sales and years ago I did Pharma. But with 3 small kids and a shit market in general not sure if this is the right gig. The problem is the market is being flooded with people looking, hence a Employers market, meaning they don't give a shit as usual. Base seems low, but do they at least disclose what the territory is currently brining in, or is it the typical song and dance routine.

I'm amazed at this board. I was told about the negativity, I guess curiosity killed the cat. I've been at ISI for almost 5 yrs. I can tell you, there is very little truth to much that I've read here. I've found working at ISI one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I've had several reps either slip up or choose to leave that would kill to come back. Is the culture different? Yes, but I've found it to be refreshing. Yes, before I totally "got it" I did question it. Keep in mind, everyone including management are constantly learning. I've seen examples of the culture being applied in the wrong fashion, and yes this can create a poor working environment. The single most important skill ingrained at ISI is speaking your mind for the betterment of everyone around you. Once I put aside my fear and had an open communication with that manager he immediately made the necessary changes and took it as a learning experience. He and I are both better reps having had that conversation. I'm a better rep for having worked at ISI. On a side note, I'm a CSR and you can make well over $300k if you want to.

Good for you. Your experience is pretty much unique. Most managers and others are grade A douchebags. And arrogant. Total fucking chaotic circle jerk. But if you found the sweet spot good for you. Mostbif kit all ex 1625 isi employees would beg to differ.

I have just 1 question:

Are you an Internal or External recruiter for ISI?

The reality is that you can earn series pay..up to and over 260k each year but you have to work from 7am-7pm every day and deliver. This is really a 3 year gig at most and they have trouble recruiting because they are so tough on people...unless you know the secret handshake. people are not promoted based on merit, but based on how well you b.s. they respect a persons ability to schmooze behind the scenes and they don't care about anything other than hitting your number. They are interviewing tons of pharma reps because they know these people will do anything to get into "device" sales, but seasoned reps stay away and the proof is how hard it is to actually have a full head-count. You will get constant "feedback" which means they question everything you do, every conversation you have, and management works hard to develop their listening skills so they can find your weakness and exploit it. This company talks about trying to make you better through these "feedback" sessions, but they are really looking at finding your weakness and delivering pain to you. If you have tough skin and want to improve your sales skills, you will, or you will be let go.

Can I get an "A-men" Brother...you hit the nail on the head

Seriously? I just threw up in my mouth. If you have worked for intuitive for that long I feel sorry for you....you have been to a few too many sales meetings. Depending om what market you're in you can make 250 or you can make 160. Either way you will be gone after only a year or two...unless like the douche bag above and drink tons of kool-aid and start spitting out their terminology and pretending you know what you're talking about

iSI employee for 2 years as a CSR.. Life changing experience both professionally and personally.

I made $245k last year and will close out this year at $260k. Add $60k in vested stock options (and essp profit) and I'm happy to be with Intuitive and will work here as long as I can.

If you are happy where you're at, why are you leaving? If you don't want to grind and earn the money you make, you probably don't belong.

Everyday you must call in how many cases you did. They are on your ass like white on rice. With the growth they are getting they can ride you. You can make great money here but it is a lifestyle not a job and most people do it about 2 years unless they get promoted which is also very likely if you do well. Not easy and not for everybody. Very cutthroat culture. Good luck.

Does the 220k per year include car, benefits, etc. or do you pay for everything out of the 220k? Thanks

it's quite ironic you would write what you would write this.
Today, is my 20th year anniversary in pharma. I am equally
Contemplating my future as I have about another 20 productive years to work.

Good luck on your future decisions and may god bless you to make the best decisions about your future.

Dude, if you have already pissed awy 20 years in pharma, there is NO WAY you will land a gig in device. They want young, non-family types. Get real.

How many hours are you working on average per week to make that money? I've never had a problem with hard work, but with a family and life outside of work, I have my concerns about the things I have heard.
