The good ole boy system will be alive and kicking in lung/GI and anti-PDL1. It is really sad and wish HR - Troy -or Ian would put a stop to it. It all starts at the top. Management by intimidation and hiring incompetent managers to act as puppets should not be allowed. I am sure this happens all over the country but it is alive in the south. Can't even approach your DM or RSD about anything and nothing ever in kept in confidence. For someone that loves helping patients and doing what is right this place has become a nightmare.....
 












I resigned last Friday and all mgmt did was talk bad about where I'm going, real class. Funny thing, all you hear about at Genentech is what a good culture they have, that's why people leave, the culture is not that good.
 






They do not understand, you can not make the money these old guys made here anymore so there is not a reason to be loyal anymore. Most of these guys got to where they are by default. Great products, poor managers.
 












I think it's funny how many managers interviewed for Clovis positions and didn't get them so now they knock the company. If the offer is right, everyone here will leave except the old managers that have made their money. Genentech is not any different than a typical pharm company. I've been here 4 years and it's the same.
 






I assure you, we know 50% of calls are fake. Just don't be an outlier or you'll get flagged and gps from OTR will be checked against call entries.

-You have a free car
-Your salary is well into 6 digits
-Your target bonus is equal to corporate bonuses of scientists
-Your payout curves and inflection points make no sense to you, but you end up making an average of 140% of your annual target bonus.

You only deliver value during launches but you remain employed thereafter.

And you complain that you can't access customers, which is your job.

Not true. The courts ruled several years ago that a company cannot use GPS information against an employee unless the company informed employees in advance that they were being tracked with GPS. No one has said we are being tracked.
 






Can we stop wasting our time and money doing Genie programs then making up a big story about how great they are? I did one early this week and that info is old and worthless. My physicians said they will not come to a Genentech program ever again.
 






Are you kidding, My Dm and RSD try to get us to do all these programs we can to be at the top of a list, not for business purposes. These programs have not been beneficial for years. Most companies stopped doing them 2 years ago UNLESS, they had something important for the doctors to hear.
 






That's all funny. Our DM was told he better start getting reps to do more programs by the RSD so, he told us to go set up Genie's anywhere we could to keep us all off a list too. It's a lot of money wasted.

With the Holiday Season quickly approaching, our clinic could gift cards for the Holiday Party.

Our clinic could trade a fee for a "Display". I hear Genentech has been involved in this activity in the past. How difficult would it be to trade for $500-1,000 of display fee for gift cards. If there is like 10 of your reps, that would only be $100 each

Let me guess - your numbers are down, so of course 'the numbers aren't correct' ...has nothing to do with you being a lazy suck ass. They cook the numbers and just make wholesale national forecast adjustments b/c they 'don't want to admit the numbers are incorrect' ...sure. You're an idot.
