I feel like someone has sprinkled some of their FISH food (us) on top of the LINCARE feeding tank.....bunch of PIRANHAS! This really does SPELL "THE END".

The only way to get credit for your scripts is to go work for lincare.....sorry to say but its how its always been, you will never get paid on scripts you generate unless your dr INSISTs patients get their prescription filled at a retail pharmacy so his local deyrep can get paid. Now im sure some sparky dm will try to say something clever about these comments and that its simple to get scripts to go to retail and be glad you have a job, etc...but the facts are the facts. They always try to say your forecast doesnt include hhc, but that is a crooked way of saying u r getting screwed since you are the one generating ALL the scripts. The only catch is u get credit for a fraction of them. So the bulk of business that comes in. ie hhc, is a house account that they dont have to pay you on. lol. good selling....hehehe

I know, they came out of the woodwork like cockroaches when the lights turn off! I had six reps(2 HCS and 4 Lincare) call me in a matter of two days to set up a time to meet AND make some joint calls and they were pretty adamant about getting a date/time ASAP! WTF, joint calls, what is the purpose? What further pissed me off was when a couple of them said they are doing the same thing with their Sepracor reps and another one said that "It makes no difference to me what the doctor writes because I only get paid on the neb and the O2 part of it." How do you like that one?! My next two weeks of work consists of six meetings and joint calls with HCS & Lincare and then two days with my manager. I am filled with dread.

I am pairing up with one rep to go to a Nephrology office. My advice, go to non-targets that are not in white space and do joint calls. Get as much info out of these reps, where they get the most Perforomist scripts and try to steal some business.

This doesn't make any sense. What the hell are you talking about? If a doc writes a scrip for your product, how can a Lincare rep "take the business" away from you? Lincare reps are DME, not pharmaceutical sales reps, and why would a Lincare rep want to do a joint lunch with a pharm rep anyway?

Please advise.

First, they let the dey rep do all the leg work, pay for the lunch etc. then the hhc rep gets to go in and promote the use of hhc. you're right, it doesn't matter to the home healthcare rep one way or the other, but if he can get the doctor to send the rx to his company, the dey rep gets no credit. the doctor sees it as just helping his patient, the hhc rep gets potential o2 bus and the dey rep gets left with his dxxx in his hand and no credit or bonus for his hard work. and please don't let anyone tell you they can't track hhc rx's. dey just does not want to pay for it. and why would they when they get the best of both worlds.

You are so right. I have been meeting my hhc reps and had a lunch with one of them and he had the gall to try to take the lunch over as it was apparent that he didn't have any relationship to speak of with the doc. I reigned him back in and continued with my conversation but it really pissed me off. He wanted to go to a couple more offices after the lunch and I had an excuse not to. Also, I had a meeting with a rep and her dm and the dm was trying to tell me what a win-win situation this was for he and his rep and myself. In a nice way I called BS on that one and asked him how so and he said by relationships they have, yeah whatever. I told them I will do as my company instructs and went so far as to let his rep accompany me on an upcoming lunch at an office that the rep hasn't been successful in getting into but there's no way in hell the rep is going to turn it into her opportunity to sell her company. Be on you guard.
 






So in a nutshell, Lincare is trying to get the Dey reps to: 1. Pay for an inservice 2. Have the Dey rep market Perforamist to the doctor, because Lincare reps only know how to market cannulas and O2. 3. Get the doctor to write the scrip in nebulized form to Lincare's pharmacy so the Lincare rep gets credit, NOT the Dey rep.
AND at the end of the day, Dey as a whole does not care which rep gets the scrip's credit, because they still make their money.

Now you get it. This management is not worried about the Dey reps, they are worried about moving this flop of a product anyway they can, at the sake of their own people. I really can tell you what camp I'm in BW.
 






Surprise surprise. Latest weekly fast data show my NRxs nonexistance in last few weeks. Ironically since partnering with lincare rep. I know my docs are writing. And now the announcement we will be focusing on & paid on new business rather than total scripts! How self servicing for Dey! Where's our forecast & comp plan? Bs.
 












All of you complaining about lincare, the products, competition, compensation...either do your best and get the script or leave and get a new job. I left cause I saw the writing on the wall. Not that I had to leave, but this company, products, lincare and compensation sucks. Let me break it down for you even further. Back 4/5 years ago when Duoneb and even accuneb was the shit, I and my counterparts were breaking the bank with $5 to $6K commission checks every quarter and not most are lucky to get $1500 if that. The point is, leave this company. All of you are busting your ass for absolutely nothing. Little to no commissions. And my friends telling me about the realignment and new products. Big whoop! Move on! Instead of complaining, move on!

Oh really??? "Move on" you say? WHERE? The whole pharma + DME market has gone to shit. Pfizer, for example was just faced with ANOTHER lawsuit; you think that $ is going to come from the big ass-fucks at the top's salaries? NO. They will increase territories for the reps, and DECREASE the bonuses.

Has pharma changed? Yes. So, wadda ya gonna do about it? Think about an exciting opportunity in hotel management or airport security. The skills you have are transferable:
1. You check in and check out.
2. You wear the same suit everyday.
3. You prefer take-out and delivery vs a home cooked meal.
4. You walk around a lot.
5. People tend to ask you for directions.
6. You never park in the red zone.
7. You don't mind emptying your pockets... cuz there's nothing in them.
8. Your used to watching monitors... whether it is a computer screen or 27'' TV in your room.
9. Being around alot of people makes you feel like you fit in.
10. You like carrying a badge... even if it is a Dey badge.
