My monthly insurance premiums have gone up 23% in the last two years while my pension payment has, of course, remained the same. In the meantime, John and other senior executives reap tens of millions in compensation. Maybe I'll call the Occupy Wall Street gang!
For you employees have are ten or more years from retirement age, don't turn down better short term opportunities elsewhere.

23% is nothing. By the time you kick the bucket, your premiums will have gone up 500%. Lilly has squandered its resources, and barely has enough to pay its ever shrinking number of employees. Retirees are spent resources that no longer contribute to the bottom line. Six Sigma has the numbers to prove it.

So who's fault do you think it is? John's $20 million compensation package has no impact on your ability to earn a good salary. If you work at Lilly, your compensation is 10-25% higher that any other comparable job in Indy. It's your choice on whether your save it or spend it. If you spend it on lifestyle, the shut the f### up that your out of money when your retire. It is your fault jacka##. Life has never been fair, but I'll bet most of your problems were caused by your selfish stupidity. Everyone knows they'll eventually need to pay for their own medical insurance when the get old. Listen jerkoff. I won't argue that I was well paid at WeLieLillys. I did save for my retirement. I had nothing to do with the debacle of 2008! I also have no power over controlling what Lilly does in changing my health benefits after I retire. I think you're missing the point. Most retirees, especially ones that retired before the economic shit storm, did well. But they are all caught in the same trap. Reduced benefits and increased premiums. But upper mgmt. isn't tuned in to this situation. They have parachutes and much coin in the bank. My retirement stipend is fixed but my premiums keep going up. Since when does a CEO deserve to make 100x my salary? Do you really think they do that much work for the company? You're either a very young, naive asshole who has a bitter outlook on life or your an HR plant just putting stuff on this post to cause people to feel like it's their fault the company is failing. I agree with you on that. Stockholders should be made aware of the situation at the next meeting. All they see is Lilly stock paying dividends. If that disappeared, the stock would be worthless (pretty much is already). Storm the Bastille, let them know what's going on behind the curtain and oust the fat cats that are raping this company!

The dividends may only be possible as a result of the "goodwill" padding the balance sheet. If anyone could explain how "goodwill" could possibly trump "ill will" for this company, please set the record straight, here and now!

Indiana is filled with rednecks that would just love to be in your cash strapped position. And by the way, I am in HR. Obviously you've never had a real job or you'd know just how blessed your been. John may not deserve $20 million a year, but there many people out there that don't believe you deserved that big Lilly paycheck and annual bonus. They would also ask, what have you done to deserve a bigger paycheck than they get. Jealousy always precedes the whining.

Listen jerk, he was clearly lied to with promises of "oh we are Lilly we will take care of you" the same way I was promised life long job security, the same way the Lilly Clinic patients were promised life long medical care.

If this corporation is a person, as the Supreme Court maintains, it's a liar.
