I interviewed with 2 Lilly managers. They are an embarrassment to Lilly with their BLATANT AGE DISCRIMINATION! I am willing to name names! Think aggressive/nasty female manager from LA.

Please do report. Someone needs to start the movement. Lilly ruins lives and age discrimination everywhere. I was forced out as i was going thru chemotherapy for 6 months . Was told they needed to replace me ASAP . Lied they had hired new person. New person did not start until 5 months after my chemo was done.

Let the truth be told. Lilly is forced to give so much free drug away in their Immunology portfolio that they wanted all of you gone with higher salaries and cut diabetes by 35%. This company has no negotiating powers with insurance companies against the likes of Janssen, Genentech, Amgen just to name a few. Lilly decides to cut where they can cut meaning their best of the best and can’t even pay a normal rate for janitorial services for someone to live in the Indy area. It is one of the worst business models seen in our industry. Management is trained to hire cheaper and younger labor which they need jobs too, but how can this company still call themselves diverse and inclusive? This company is no longer the company that was once ran by the values of the Great Colonel Eli Lilly.

I am so fed up with the socialist propaganda with their liberal concepts like living wage, social justice, inclusion, empowerment, global warming. Some liberal states are considering legislation to pay low income citizens a living salary and they don't even need to work! So who pays for all this BS? Companies do and their overtaxed employees! The company continues to post about their efforts to promote female and minorities. Yet internally you look at these promotions and wonder what planet are we on. There is no consideration for performance. While competitors work we post pictures about pride, women, and diversity. All of these groups are important but the identity culture destroys the team. What is a team if it’s broken into segments of groups competing for equality. Should top performers be treated the same as middle performers? We have some great female leaders but they are not getting promoted. Who is pushing this agenda?

So true. Imagine for a moment, we did not have a war with Mexico, and the current SW United States, including California was part of that country. Perish the thought! We simply can't let them reverse that great victory over tyranny, and enlightenment.

Lilly retiree here - a white guy. I learned early in my career that if I ever wanted to get promoted, my wife and I needed to make sacrifices and relocate to where good opportunities existed. Many peer level minorities and females never relocated beyond I-465 (unless they lived in Carmel, Fishers, Zionsville) yet were promoted. We relocated 6 times and I took two non-Indianapolis short term assignments requiring me to live away from my family. One relocation we moved when our daughter was four weeks old. Another relocation we moved when my wife was seven months pregnant. I honestly believe that I never would have been promoted had we not taken several non-Indy assignments. Pretty tough for high performing white guys to get ahead.
